Passionate, Flexible, Dedicated

Pet care experience

I've always loved spending time with animals. It was an absolute joy to train and look after my own dog for 14 years, gaining valuable experience in obedience training and the care of senior animals. I have been relied on for pet sitting by friends and family since I was a young teenager and have recently started helping them specifically with dog training. This work has become my passion and one I hope to make a career of. I am currently taking every opportunity to build upon my skillsets by working with dogs of all varieties and ages. I am also experienced in the care of small pets and exotics, being especially knowledgeable in the husbandry of small reptiles (including snakes) and amphibians. However, I am also equipped to care for small mammals (including rabbits).

Kit is the best dog walker I have ever had. I trust her and Cooper loves her. She even takes Cooper to her favorite park to see the squirrels. I would recommend her to anyone.

Kit has cared for my 2 dogs numerous times and they absolutely love her. She is responsible, reliable, thoughtful and caring which brings me peace of mind when leaving my precious pets. One dog is on a special diet and requires multiple daily meds and Kit made sure she maintained her schedule for us while we are gone. Leaving your pet is hard, but they are in good hands with Kit.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide a calm and stable environment to any animal in my care. Your pet(s) will have my full attention whenever they are with me. Every pet is different, so I like to take the time to learn the unique personality of every animal, ensuring their preferences are respected and their needs met. I can keep up with energetic pets and chill out with couch potatoes. I always maintain firm yet relaxed demeanor, offering gentle corrections only when necessary to redirect a pet's attention toward more positive behaviors. I like to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible to increase their comfort with me.

Information Kit P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about any medical issues (including allergies) or specific needs your pets may have. I accept unspayed/unneutered dogs but would like to know ahead of time in order to keep them safe. Information regarding your pet's daily routine, favorite activities, and noise level will help determine if we are a good match. I also need to know in advance if your dog tends to pull when walking. I am physically fit and well versed in leash training but may not be equipped to control a dog over 50 pounds with a tendency to pull. I do not accept pets with a history of aggression at this time. Husbandry specifics for small animals may be discussed prior to accepting new clients.

A typical day

I love a good hike through the metroparks as well as a simple walk around the block. Vigorous play sessions and games help pets burn off energy and keep them healthy and happy. I like to provide enrichment with petting, cuddles, treats, and training, depending on you and your pet's preferences. I can help clients reinforce their dog's training, taking a patient and positive approach. Let me know in advance or through ongoing communication if you are interested in training support. And of course, I am always happy to spend some time relaxing on the couch with a furry friend when its time for a break. I will always ask about a pet's schedule (including feeding times, medications, and potty breaks) prior to taking on a new client so I can give them the best day possible!
