asked a question How does one receive stars on their profile?

I see people with stars. I've given stars to watch the dogs but how do I get them??

answered a question Fecal exams?

I'm sure it doesn't hurt to ask! You need to know everything about the dog as much as possible really so in emergencies you can answer all these important questions to your fun knowledge. If they aren't interested or simply haven't tell them that you are certified to do so and update them on information about the normality of the feces. Remember to be polite and patient and to never force a customer to do something they don't want. I hope this helps! Good luck!

answered a question Aggressive Dogs?

Most of the time what I do when dogs don't get along with others is avoid other dogs when walking. It might seem weird, but when I see dogs ahead of me I usually cross the street to avoid paths, make sure the leash is super close to me, and talk the dogs through the walk( might seem weird, I know), but it all seems to work. The dogs enjoy the walk and you have peace of mind. Also, tell the owner that you have experienced said situation for their future reference sometimes they are unaware. Also, if the dog is having anxiety from missing their parents they tend to act out more on other dogs. Keep these things in mind. I hope this helped!

answered a question Was there a glitch in the message system on 5/29/15

From my understanding Rover usually sends out glitch problems via email. But if you want to know for sure contact rover either through their phone number 24 hour service or via e-mail. Here are the source: phone- [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team].

answered a question Can pending requests still be confirmed if my dates show as unavailable?

Usually they still can go through, but it keeps you safe because you can tell the client you booked that date off your calendar. This means its a safety net and will no hurt your ranking on the rover site. Usually, you arent supposed to show up on the search listing during those specific dates you took off. But for any reason someone knows your name specifically they may be able to contact you from sources such as advertising (google, flyers, ect). So all in all keeping your calendar up to date is a safety net for you and your customers. Keep it up to date and you'll be fine. If you must deny a request politely say why you cannot have that date and say that you booked it off on your calendar on Rover. It will keep you from hurting your ranking and making them go to someone else from then on. Hope this helped!

answered a question How long before Badges Show on Profile?

From my experience, I usually get my badges after two to three business days and can then be seen by others on my profile. I have also gotten an email saying that the badge is now on my profile as well. Hoped this helped!

answered a question How often do sitters leave the dog alone?

I usually get clients that don't leave them alone for more than 4-5 hours so they can get potty breaks, of course that's assuming the dog is in great condition and is not either a puppy, or a senior who needs to be watched more frequently, which then you should not leave them alone for more than two hours. I hope this helped!

answered a question Why do dogs eat cat food

According to http://mysmartpuppy.com "Cat food is higher in fat and protein than dog food making it is as appealing to dogs as ice cream is to us. On the downside, that extra fat and protein can cause diarrhea in the short-term and weight-gain in the long."
