2014-09-24 17:57:33 -0600 answered a question I'm getting a puppy soon. What materials should I buy before he arrives?

Get a few books and read about different training methods before junior arrives!

For the walk: Microchip, Leash, name tag, collar, poo bags General: Food and water dishes (ceramic or plastic if your dog has a white face to prevent mineral staining) Bed, crate, toys, Food (start with what your breeder has been feeding to avoid upset tummy), treats, supplements, flea treatment For the yard: Pooper scooper and bin, rugged outdoor toys like soccer ball CHECK YOUR FENCE! You may have a digger a climber or a pushy little one on the way - make sure your fence will keep her safe!

Good luck with the little one!

add a little appetizer on top - depending on what your dog can handle: cottage cheese, grated hard cheese, yogurt, egg, salmon oil, cooked ground meat, canned tuna or salmon... lots of things to try if your pooch can eat them!

2014-09-24 17:46:18 -0600 answered a question Does anyone make their own dog food?

There are some great pre made "starters" out there like Honest Kitchen - you just add your own protein http://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dog-f... check this link out.

Grain free options and different mixes are available.

hope this helps!

Practice crate training in short spells when your home - like on the weekend or at night - makes it easier!
