| answered a question | Security cameras in the clients home--would you be comfortable? A lot of the people I sit for have camera systems. I am more appreciative if they are obvious or mention it but I also always assume that they have a camera on me that is hidden and act accordingly. Where it gets weird is when I think they have one in the bedroom or bathroom. When that happens and its obvious I either tell them that makes me uncomfortable or I locate the cams and cover them for my safety. And if they have one in the bathroom I don't sit for them again. |
| asked a question | Just curious, is there a way to block someone from trying to book you? Every once in a while I get messaged by someone who gives me the creeps and I've noticed that when I decline they can come back and ask why I still have availability when I have said I was unavailable. Some people you can't just say "my gut says this is a bad idea" to without offending them and making a bad situation worse. |
| answered a question | Has anyone had someone abandon a Dog? HI I share this concern. Here in Yucca Valley, CA people tend to move a lot and people seem to get evicted fast. I have been declining anyone with these flybynight drop off my dog in 10 min because we are homeless messages because I can't adopt any of these dogs if the owner doesn't come back to me with a solid plan. If they say I will need a sitter for certain dates with a plan if it needs to extend I am open to it but people like to drop there dogs off here, or leave them unattended for days, weeks, etc. |
