Keep your dogs nails very short (close to the quick). That way digging can be such a discomfort that they quit.

All I ask is that owners bring their dogs flea free and neutered. I don't want to have to keep up with what belongs to who. I have a fenced yard with a dog door available 24/7 so I don't need leashes, etc. Food and water bowls are not that expensive and stainless steel lasts forever. I don't want toys as that can lead to possessive fights, etc. I normally have several dogs at the same time so they play together as a pack and don't need toys. I keep numerous dog beds all over the house so bedding is not necessary. I have found that dogs don't necessarily use their own bed or another dog is using it. Also, some dogs are destructive and will tear up a dog bed. I don't want to be replacing an owner's dog bed. I think I only have had one owner that has not brought their own dog's food so I feed him what I feed my own dog which is grain free and high nutrition. I have my own boarding form so I have information on each dog as to feeding amounts, number of times/day, brand of food, medications & instructions, local vet, behavioral issues, etc. and permission to treat for fleas if found or to seek vet care in emergency if they cannot be immediately contacted.
