commented answer | When a pet parent is out of town, does the house sitting fee cover a full 24-hour period, or do they also need to pay for drop-ins and/or walks to cover daytime care? That is so strange. I could make $30/hr walking or dropping in, but I would make the same amount spending much more time directly interacting with the dog AND sleeping at the client's house all night? Wouldn't anyone needing more than 1 walk or drop-in save money by getting 24-hr house sitting? |

asked a question | When a pet parent is out of town, does the house sitting fee cover a full 24-hour period, or do they also need to pay for drop-ins and/or walks to cover daytime care? For example: A client is gone for multiple days. When the client is gone for a full 24-hours or more, the dog will most definitely need more than just someone to care for them overnight. Does the client pay for drop-ins/walks during the day AND for the house sitting? |
commented answer | How is "house sitting" defined? So, do owners that are out of town for multiple days pay for both drop-ins during the day and house-sitting at night? It doesn't quite make sense that a sitter would only make about twice as much as they do in a 30-minute drop in when they are in charge of the home and dog for 24-hours. |
