answered a question | Are people charging owners for daycare & overnight, or using overnight as one fee? I'm new to dog sitting and boarding in my personal residence. The way I'm doing it is from 6am - 7pm Is my daycare rate $30-35.00 From 8pm-5am is an overnight rate $35-40.00 If the dog is with me for a full 24 hours (6am-6am) then its both the overnight fee and the daycare fee together $65-75.00 That's how I was going to do it. Would that be unreasonable? |

asked a question | Personal Residence - Dog Daycare and Boarding? Hey All, I wanted to start a "doggie daycare" and overnight pet sitting starting November after we move into our new house. We just bought the house and it has a HUGE fenced in yard. I was curious about those who do at their residence sitting only. What are your experiences like? How often do damages occur? How often do you dog sit for families? What's a reasonable rate? I would be home with the animals so they would never be alone. I used to dog sit for a family (Kirkland, Washington) fairly often and got paid $75.00 a day/overnight (Family's choice) last year. I didnt think that I could charge that much for a whole day and an overnight, but I wasnt sure what the going rates are for someone in Graham, Washington as this is a new county to me. |
