commented answer | Why does rover take out so much for fees? I too would like an answer to this? Either an alternative needs to be found/created or all sitters and owners need to boycott Rover until they adjust their fees... |
answered a question | WHAT % DOES ROVER TAKE OUT OF MY PAY? WAY TOO MUCH. |
answered a question | Can I crate my dog day? Not to be rude but why did you get a dog or 10 month old pup if you planned to crate it for 8 hours a day.. no that is not okay to do. |
commented answer | Can I crate my dog day? Edited my comment to an answer. |
commented answer | service fee? As a sitter Rover takes a MASSIVE 20% and if you’re an owner they take an additional 5-7%. So essentially if you are hired for a $100 booking; the owner will pay $107, Rover will get $27 if that and you get $80... fair right? |
commented answer | Accountability for Rover's fees & percentage? I think they are making enough to be able to handout $25 free credits here and there anytime someone has a negative experience.. where does this money come from? The pockets of the sitters who give nothing but positive experiences. The 20% is WAY to high especially when Rover charges the owner also. |
commented answer | Accountability for Rover's fees & percentage? So essentially Rover doesn’t respect the people that they depend on to be successful/continue as a business. If they did they would answer questions directly and not be shady and just say “that’s how it is and we don’t need to explain further”. All sitters should protest or boycot.. They’d care then |
commented answer | Why does Rover charge the sitter fees per booking? Agreed this response wasn’t very professional at all and considering they take 20% of the sitters cut and also charge 5-7% to the owner you would think they wouldn’t mind justifying what it goes to or why they take SO MUCH.. a $100 booking costs me over $100 and the sitter only gets $80? Lol scam... |
commented answer | Why does rover take out so much for fees? “The better we do the better they do” so they shouldn’t mind answering questions and treating us like actual partners or employees. They treat as like we are; private contractors not even actually tied to them, they can/do charge whatever they want with no reason and say pay it or go somewhere else. |
