I was just wondering if you found a way that worked! I have a 5 month old french bulldog who also keeps pooping in his crate. We have the exact same scenario as you, my husband takes him out first thing, he poops and I take him out before I leave, he poops. I come home at lunch, there is poop in the crate and he is covered. I take him out, he goes to the bathroom. I come home after work and he has pooped again. He only ever does it when he is alone. He goes outside and even tells us he has to go by bringing us his leash when we are there... but at night or when we aren't home he poops in his crate! Let me know if you found something that worked.
