commented answer | Can a sitter charge extra after stay for late pick-up? I understand that I can modify the booking and send it to the owner, but the owner could simply chose not to pay. For example, if I add a charge of $10 on after the stay because of a late pick-up, the owner could just not pay it. |

asked a question | Can a sitter charge extra after stay for late pick-up? Thankfully I'm not in this situation right now but want to know the answer in case it happens. If an owner is very late to pick up their pup after the stay, can you as the sitter charge a fee after the fact? That is to say: is there any way to tack on extra charges? Obviously you can adjust the rate for add-ons before the owner confirms the booking, but you don't know if they're going to pick-up late. I want to put a stipulation in my profile about an additional charge for each hour that the owner is late to pick-up, but I certainly can't enforce it if there is no way to add that charge. Any ideas? What do you do? |

asked a question | Do owners know if you archive their requests? Like others, I often have owners for potential boarding who stop responding or who I'm sure are messaging multiple sitters at a time. I try to archive these conversations when they stop responding to increase the chance I'll get a booking for that time period. Do owners know that you have archived the request? I know I can always un-archive it to book, but I want to make sure I'm not turning off potential clients if I archive the conversation. |
