answered a question What are some housecleaning products that are effective AND safe to use around dogs?

I agree with Cynthia. I have used vinegar and baking soda for nearly everything for years. Baking soda is also a great scrubber cause it is a mild abrasive but doesn't scratch or damage the surfaces. Vinegar is also a great disinfectant and the smell goes away fairly quickly. I'll also mix some blue Dawn dish soap with the vinegar if I want a sudsy clean (this is also a great ant killer/deterrent when they’re after the dog food). I do keep a bottle of all natural concentrated ECOVER All-purpose Cleaner around, too. You can literally use it on just about anything. And since you dilute a little bit with your water, it lasts a REALLY LONG TIME, haha. I can keep one for a couple years or so, but again, it's not my go-to everyday cleaner either. You can probably find it at your local natural food store like Whole Foods. Hope these help and good luck.
