commented question | Can I charge a client that repeatedly cancels same day visits? No! I had a woman cancel within seconds of texting with her to confirm I was to call her if the new key didn't work. The dog is on its 4th dog walker. The latest woman would cancel when I was literally at her front door.Rover paid 50% of my fee one night she did this. I ignore all her request now. |

asked a question | How do I monitor the available request feature? I'm new to RoveI'mr and find myself constantly monitoring the available walk request screen. Sometimes my iPhone doesn't even alert me with a sound I just see my screen light up and know there is a new one. Is there a easier way to do this, maybe from my laptop? |

asked a question | Owners with set times for walks? I'm new to rover as a walker ,dog sitter. I've had my own pet care business in Brooklyn for 8 years and I always gave owners a window in which I would walk their dogs. That's because I have several different dogs and puppies and accidents happen, so I need flexibility. I find it annoying that rover owners want their dogs walked at a specific time, a certain number of miles walked in that time AND food given. I charged $5 extra for feeding and $5 extra walks after 6pm and $10 extra after 9pm. Also depending on how long a walk my rate increased. I have one client now who I feel is too demanding! She wants me to cover 2 miles in one hour for only $18. |
