If they only feed them a bail of hay once a day then thats abuse. They need oils and supplements mixed in with their hay in a wheelbarrow this can take at least 30minutes at least and they should be fed spaced out for their digestion.

What type of dogs are they. The problem with horses is they are liable to freak out. They can overheat and get very sick and die, they can't cool themselves and you need to cool them down with a hose. The list goes on. And on. Horses you want to check them at least 4 times a day.

You have foxes to look for, missing sheep or dogs possible. And horse issues. I have run farms a long time. You need a contract protecting you from the owner and animal agricultural services. Horses can colic, their shoe could come off and get hoof rot and damage their leg.

Nothing less then $200 a day. You are liable for every single one of those animals. horses aline cost a fortune and if the horse gets a broken leg while they are away you would be responsible. You have to check every animal its not just feeding. Any job of this nature is $200- $250.

Cash in hand is easiest but not many people do tip on a few of my clients do. I wish it had a tipping feature built in!

I agree. I honestly think we need to get a petition going for :

1. Tipping option ( to help balance the time spent/ effort/ percentage rover takes / and the low price in comparison to kennels ) plus pretty much everyone tips groomers that typically spend 1-2 hours with your pet, but no tipping is encouraged in the booking or has any ability to do so through rover. Really frustrating for when you consider all the freebies you end up doing in grooming, walks, fun activities etc , parking costs for walks and more

2. That to Rover creates different setting / display design for A. The professional rover sitters that are home full time, have a lot of reviews and experience. B. Rover creates a different setting for the hobby sitters so clients are able to pick which one they prefer! ( I am so over seeing hobby sitters get featured ahead of people and me who have stellar reviews and do this as a living full time not just a student looking for beer money so to speak. )

3. And also that Rover sets a higher base price then it currently has. All the new sitters ans hobby sitters that are featured over me and orher sitters I know that have their rates super low and it seriously annoys me when people just assume they are better bevause they are listed as number 1 and only charge x amount.

4. Rover should also have a search feature like EVERY OTHER WEBSITE that people can sort sitters by highest review count, highest rating. This is so annoying they don't have this!

5. Remove the numbering on profile searches. It just confuses clients.

Does rover on demand having tipping feauture like wag apparently does? If it doesn't then that really is crazy they would take the same percentage without that feature at least! But also if they do have the tipping feature in rover demand that really sucks if they haven't rolled it out for everyone!

Oh man that's such a shame to hear! Especially when I never have a single walk that doesn't actually account to at least an hour of not a hour and a half in over walk time, feeding, leashing, refilling water, locking the house up, and getting to and from the owners house! Walks are never 30minutes lol what a shame. Every YouTube comparison of wag vs rover always states how rover is better because they don't take a whopping big percentage of earnings from each walk. But now they have done the ultimate injustice to their own business by doing this there will be no favoring between working for rover vs working for wag now because both take the same cut. But wag seems to have more clients and service areas then rover so I think people will choose one with the larger service areas and clients already signed up. But again I'm not sure of how rover on demand is actually in demand by clients yet. Has anyone seen both platforms? And how many requests they see each day in their city on each company's platform?

I would contact the owner and mention it. That really sucks he peed all over your couch and you. All I can say is go get some belly diapers asap.

Its a 24 hour period (12pm the 13th to 12pm the day of return.) Any time over that amount is solely up to you on your leeway of time or if over a certain amount of time then a daycare fee could be added.

When I have asked rover about having trouble with dogs they always said call them and they can find a replacement sitter. You,would have to mention that he snaps and attacks other dogs so they have go stay in their kennels because of him. Call rover support

Normally kennel boarding places offer free trial day but not overnight... I would not do it for free. If they havent mentioned paying I would charge them. For all you know they could just be looking for free boarding for 1 night

Have they said anything about the cost if not just press book it. I mean people do spend that much what it is the total cost per day for non holiday? All I can say is the dogs will be a lot of work so being it is christmas everywhere charges triple!

Just ask them politely, tell them the best things about the stay with dog or something you really miss about them. Always mention how grateful you are for their business and trust in you.

We sweep, Vaccum , clean counters and tables, keep anything on top of surfaces minimal and tidy. We decorate with plants and a few cut flowers and burn a subtle candle or two before the arrive, then tidy and water,down garden and tidy cushions and sofa and dog toy areas, and make sure all lights are on and lights in the garden, and have a few treats out ready for meet and greet and fresh glass of water for guests ready.

Chicken get a roast chicken or cook some chicken breast the dog will be best buds with you in now time

More strict?! Geez why even own a dog ? If you want to kee0 it in captivity 24 in a 3 foot cage? My advice to OP THROW THE CRATE AWAY. You could see on the camera she was fine and sleeping on the couch. Why do you want her to be caged?

This happened to me today most frustrating thing ever! It never showed up either, but a 30 minute walk turned into a hour and a half with rover support call time, contacting the owner and driving home!

If you feel comfortable to massage and gently stretch it. I would say it will feel better by the morning, hopefully nothing damaged! Depends what type of dog it is?

You should call rover support and notify them. As a sitter myself I have had many clients experience this before & it really bugs me that these other sitters are still promoted on the top of the search pages. I wish people didn't do this it reflects badly on the overall quality of sitters on Rover !
