answered a question | 4 year old American Bulldog. Severe behavior issues. What can I do? Oh yes, I have had dogs like that and it can rob you of any peace in the house. From my personal experience...the problem usually is with me and/or another person in the household. What I mean by that is that often we get stuck on how something should work and we expect the animals to understand that and when they don't, we get frustrated because we consistently get the unwanted behavior. Find someone like Caesar Milan that not only works with the animals, but traines the humans as well. |
commented question | Is there a Rover.com rule that Meet and Greets are supposed to be done in the owner's house to avoid stress on the dog? I personally want to see where my dogs will be staying if I board them, so I don't mind meeting at the sitters home. If you have a dog that stresses that easily, you may consider going with a house sitter. This way the sitter comes to you and your dog stays in their comfort zone. |
commented question | What do I do when a dog urinates all over my house? Communication with the client is key. Many clients will voluntarily offer to help with cleaning cost if it was excessive ( boarding dogs, we have to expect the occasional accident ). I personally use peroxide to remove odors and it works well. Plus we don't have carpet in the house. |
commented question | I scheduled a week of dog walks and have confirmed. Now, something unexpected came up and I need to cancel the walks. Is there a way to do it? My clients usually contact me and I handle the cancellation for them. Just makes things easier for them and this way I'm aware of the cancellation right away. |
