commented answer | Do I need data/wifi running the whole time I'm walking a dog? Thank you! Yes, I figured I'd try here first for anyone searching for the answer in the future. But it seems like the FB group is the best place to search for help and advice. Thanks again for your help :D |

answered a question | Where can I see when I signed up for Rover.com? I know it's been a while since this was asked, but I thought I'd still add an answer in case you still need it or anyone else does. But you can find the date you signed up by searching your email for your Rover Welcome Email, the date should be there for you. |
commented answer | Does Rover take care of the diffrences between Holiday and extended pay rates? Or is this something I have to modify? How does this work for Canadians? Our Thanksgiving is in October and we have holidays the US doesn't have and visa versa. Should I just not include a holiday rate and adjust the rate manually? |
asked a question | Do I need data/wifi running the whole time I'm walking a dog? I'm starting to fear Rover isn't going to work out for me because I don't have a data plan on my phone and I can't afford one at this time either. Do I need to have data in order to start/finish a dog walk or drop-in visit and if so do I need to having it running the whole time? Example, if I have access to the owner's wifi, could I start the walk using their wifi, then track the walk with my phone's GPS (my running/biking app does this) and then when I'm back at the owners' and connected to wifi I can complete the walk? I assume I wouldn't have an issue with drop-ins if I have access to wifi. If we need to stay connected to data the whole time, I'm screwed. |

answered a question | House sitting meaning? To me, it means watching and caring for a pet in the owners home for an extended period of time. Typically overnight. |
asked a question | Can owners from outside your service area still send you requests? I don't drive so for dog walking and drop-ins I have set my service area rather small. For house sitting though, I can typically get a drive to outside my listed area, if given enough notice. So my question; Can owners from outside your service area still send you requests or does the system limit them to only requesting sitters who have them within their service area? |
commented question | With Rover Canadians can only receive payments via cheque? I don't know if this has changed since you posted but I was able to connect my PayPal no problem. Also Canadian. |
