Ultimately, it should be a pleasant experience and a happy place for them to be. As stated above, not only would I not leave the house immediately, I would not leave the puppy when first doing this and would stay near them. Or keep them in the room you are working. Lots of treats and love! |

Has anyone had luck finding insurance? I'm not asking for a recommendation - just trying to find companies that offer this service. Having a hard time - three companies so far and all a no go. |
| answered a question | Why did my dog get diarrhea after changing his food? You may have changed the food too suddenly. To change a dog's food, slowly add a little bit of food to the existing food each day until the dog is eating only the new food. For example, if you give your dog one cup of food twice a day, start by adding only 1/4 of cup of new food to 3/4 cup of old food only once a day. Do this for a couple of days before increasing the amount. This should help with the transition and prevent diarrhea. |
