answered a question $25 for first-time users?

Sometimes the code is offered if you sign-up for Rover using a special link and is applied to your account or if you have a code you use at checkout of your first booking. I am unsure which promotion you signed up with but I would contact Rover Support either through https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/re...) or at their phone number [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] in order to make sure you get the discount.

answered a question I recently joined rover.com as a pet caregiver a week ago and have not gotten any messages from potential clients? How long usually does it take for one to get their first message?

It took me over a month to get my first client and now I have a steady stream of regular dog walking clients. Depending on how many pet sitters are in your area there might be more competition so it can take a while to get the ball rolling. Welcome to Rover! Hope you enjoy being a pet sitter on here and with patience you should get some messages :)

answered a question Why do I have payment withdrawn but no receipt?

I would try contacting Rover Support either through email https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/re...) or through telephone [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] in order to get this worked out. The customer is charged at the time of booking the stay and the sitter is paid after the stay is completed. On the sitter's end they will see the payment on their Dashboard and if they do not have automatic withdrawal they will need to manually send the payment to their account through the Rover site.

answered a question Do you know the contact support page on rover.com is not working?

The Rover team do not typically look on this forum. The contact page seems to be working fine for me. If you are having trouble with it freezing on you there is always the option to contact Rover Support through their telephone number [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] and hopefully they will be able to answer your inquiries.

answered a question Why are Holiday rates applied to non-holiday dates?

Holiday rates are applied to every single date in the booking even if only 1 or 2 days of the booking are considered a holiday. However, each sitter might choose to charge holiday rates differently. I would message your sitter and see if she is willing to refund you for the days that aren't holidays and only charge you the extra fee for the 17th and 18th. This article explains how Rover handles holiday rates. https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/articles/204706790-What-are-holiday-rates-and-how-do-I-manage-them- (https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar...)

answered a question What does everyone include in there overnight stay booking?

Generally anything that the dog normally does in their daily routine is included in the house sitting cost with no extra dog walkings that need to be added. The only thing I would add is if owners request a bath or nail clipping, something extra like that, then I would maybe add that into the price. But general dog walking, feeding, even bringing mail in or watering plants is typically included in the house sitting. Every sitter is different though, some may want to charge for walks so you really are in full control of what you choose to do. Just make sure that the services you offer are laid out in your profile and you set your prices accordingly.

answered a question do we tip the sitter?

It is up to you whether or not you tip your sitter. Most sitters on this site do not expect a tip but it is always a nice surprise to get one. I have only been tipped once in my 6 months of being on here.
