Have any dog owners had trouble with apartment managers for having extra dogs? Did you get management's permission to dog sit? If you did, did they increase your pet rent? Or do they require that you notify them for every dog that you watch? If you didn't ask permission, have you recieved any warnings for having more dogs than are on your lease?

My lease includes the following clause: You may use the Apartment, Common Areas and Amenities for residential purposes only, subject to applicable law. ... You further agree not to conduct any business in the Apartment, including, but not limited to, child care activity for hire.

My building has a 24-hour concierge desk that I must walk by every time that I take the dogs outside. I haven't gotten any warnings, but there were certainly some raised eyebrows when I walked by with 4 pugs. I'm wondering if it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.
