My 8 year old beagle mix is fixated on the new kitten. She stares, whines, and follows her around obsessively. She has chased the kitten a few times but I immediately admonished her for it. It’s been a few days and she is still fixated. She lived with an older cat right before this with no problem. Last night she slept with me and the kitten on the same bed without incident. I’m just concerned about her prey drive being activated. How can I stop the fixation, staring, and following around?
