answered a question | Can someone list all 7 of their pets as a single dog? I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I had a client that did the same for his 5 French Bull Dogs. When I spoke to him about adding each individual pet, I discovered that he was new to Rover and just really had no idea how to do that! During my meet and greet and spent some time with him on the site and helped add each pet. Unfortunately there is no option to add a cat profile but there is an option on your end to add cat care to the estimate when you edit. Another route is to ask the owner to add the cats as Dogs and you can adjust the rate from "additional dog" to "cat care". If you are charging for small animal are, fish and birds, that would just be added as an additional charge and that would be something that you would discuss with the owner. I have lots of clients with multiple pets and mostly they don't expect to pay $25 for all their pets! |
answered a question | Are there Rover meet-ups to meet other sitters in your area? If anyone is a sitter in Temecula, Ca , I am going to start a group called "Temecula Rover Sitters":) |
commented answer | drop in visits: owner wants cat fed too? I see that on the service menu, there is a cat fee that a sitter can add. However, I can not see an option for the client to add a cat to their profile. It only says add dog and that is where I am a little confused. |
asked a question | How do I add a cat? I see the option on my profile to "Add Dog", how does one add a cat? I have a client requesting care for their cats and I want to ensure that they are quoted correctly but I do not see an option to add a cat to the profile on my end as a sitter. |
asked a question | Rover Sitter Meet Ups? Is there some sort of chat room, or community page for sitters in individual areas? It would be great if there were an annual conference or something to meet other Rover sitters. I do not offer all the services and I would like to be able to recommend other sitters to clients that I was not able to help due to the service they requested. Clients always like personal references but I do not know anyone else in my community that is a Rover sitter. When I search sitters in my area there are so many! If I contact people directly through Rover, it will process as a pending request and I wouldn't want to mess up anyone's scores because I am just trying to branch out. Is there a forum or way to contact other sitters in your area without having to request a service? |
