answered a question | Should I use typical potty pads or disposable dog potty patches (such as the brand Doggie Lawn)? Neither, even training your dog to go on potty pads or faux grass in the home still encourages to go to the bathroom inside the home. If you have a yard I encourage you to take full advantage of it. If not use the faux grass or potty pads on a porch if you have one. I know it will be a pain to do it but trust me training a dog to use potty pads or other in home potty training items just makes them believe its ok to go to the bathroom inside your home. |
answered a question | Why do female dogs hump? A female dog humping is a very natural thing. It's not a sexual thing what so ever, more often than not it either playful behavior or dominance. If it really bothers you, at the time it occurs say no and remove her off the other dog. My Husky and my Berner both females did the same thing. Had it corrected within a week or two by doing just as I said. |
answered a question | Does anyone know of a in house boarder who also trains? I'm in Denver but I'm from Half Moon Bay. I may be able to find someone for you. Where in the bay? |
answered a question | Can we find out what breed our dog is without the expensive bloodtest? I can give you a good guess on what he may be, just send me a picture. Otherwise your best bet is a Wisdom panel, however if your dog has any PB in him it will not show up as they are not a certified breed through the AKC, and if he has any European bloodlines they will now show up either without running a European Wisdom Panel. (Europe's canine bloodlines are different than American for some reason.) |
