reputable goldendoodle breeders

asked 2015-01-04 18:16:23 -0500

I'm looking for advice on/recommendations for reputable goldendoodle breeders in the DC metro area. I've read so much about horrible puppymills and would appreciate any insight that can be offered regarding trusted local breeders.

Have you checked the AKC website for breeders? You might want to check this out: http://www.akc.org/breeders/

Otherwise, I would do your due diligence in researching breeders, visiting their homes and trying to connect with other people who have gotten dogs from that breeder. You could also check out Meetup.com. I am a part of the Boston Terrier Group and people are always discussing good and bad breeders, and giving recommendations. Good luck!

That's a great suggestion. Thank you! I've been doing quite a bit of digging but it's interesting that there aren't specific communities or hubs online to find reputable breeders.

What a shame, one of my neighbors is giving hers away because her son is now allergic to the dog. I've been trying to help her rehome him. What a coincidence you are looking for the same dog breed, too bad you are so far.
