Why did my dog act weird around medical marijuana?
First of all, I don't use pot in any way, shape or form. Okay, my question...
I live in Washington state where recreational marijuana is legal. I have boarded my dog with various sitters and one kennel, which my husband thought the latter was sketchy, so we won't go there again. Anyway, a friend came to stay with us, and she uses medical marijuana cookie edibles while undergoing cancer treatment. I noticed the moment she took a cookie out before bed, my dog went crazy, and tried getting at that cookie after catching a whiff of it, and followed her all over the house. He NEVER does this, never, never, never. His behavior was so unusual, that I almost wondered if someone at the kennel has given him a pot edible before to keep him calm or mellow. Or am I just overthinking it? I don't know how pot works as I've never tried it myself, so I didn't know if my dog has really had a "hit" before , or if animals just act that way around marijuana. I'm soooo sorry if this is a weird question.
