It is said that dogs often eat other dog's (or cats...) poop if they are lacking certain nutrients in their diet. I would check the brand of food you feed your dog against this list: http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/best-do... and see if maybe there's a better brand available. If the problem persists, it's worth a call to the vet.

There are a couple reasons your dog may be eating poop. The most common is they are missing a key nutrient in their own diet and are trying to replenish that nutrient through eating feces. It can also be a learned behavior or done out of boredom.

Honestly, it's a lot of times a behavioral or habit thing. Your best bet is to just keep the poop cleaned up and not give them the opportunity.

My dog doesn't usually eat other dogs poop, but for some reason loves our cats poop. One reason this may be is because your dog is lacking in certain nutrients such as Vitamin B. They eat feces to replenish enzymes. Also, it's gross to think about, but maybe they also just like the taste and smell (gross). I'd rather it be because of enzymes haha
