The holiday season brings travel plans for many Canadian pet parents, with a recent survey* indicating that 77% intend to take a trip. When asked to rank their top three stress factors while travelling, pet parents say they are most worried about their pet’s anxiety and loneliness (49%), finding a trustworthy and reliable sitter (28%), and their pet’s general safety and wellbeing (23%).
It’s unsurprising then, that when looking for pet care the #1 factor for the majority of pet parents (78%) is the safety and security of their pet. Finding comfortable accommodations that minimize pet anxiety is also a top factor (61%). Other priorities include daily updates (70%), affordability (58%) and convenience (34%).
