How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs.

Since we were children we have been around dogs of all sizes and situations. Rhonda's aunt raised Schnauzers, he mother's best friend trained dogs for a living and her family had our own family had a Sheltie. Aldred's parents worked with rescue dogs and owned/fostered many dogs throughout the years.

It was the combination of seeing pups from the moment they were born to being with them til their last breath that made us realize how precious every pup is; no matter how big or small, they are all puppies in our hearts!

Toby

Age: 5 years, 1 mo. old
Weight: 27 lbs.
Breed: Cardigan Welsh Corgi & Vizsla

Toby is the sweetest dog. We adopted him from BARC in September 2011. He's been the most joyous addition to our lives here in Houston.

He loves to hike and go on runs. He loooooooves belly rubs!

He is just an easy going big personality in a little dog body.

Rhonda did an excellent job! We left our four dogs in good hands for a quick getaway. She even met the challenge of getting our oldest Chihuahua, Baby to quickly learn to love her, which is not always easy. She was responsible, dependable and loving toward our beloved furry companions. And she sent us photos while we were gone, which let us know they were happy and well taken care of. We will happily use Rhonda again in the future! (Collapse)

Rhonda and her fiancee, Aldred, both stayed at our house with my dog, Daisy. Since Daisy is a rescue, I thought it might traumatize her to stay in a different house; she might think she was being given away. So they came here. Daisy adores both of them, and they even managed to improve her training, especially on the leash. They sent us photos and video of Daisy throughout the time we were away, and were always available if I had questions (I missed my Miss D, though always felt secure about her care with them). They were also extremely thorough about finding out Daisy's regular routine, food, favorite toys, thing that might disturb her (thunder), etc. I strongly recommend Rhonda and Aldred to anyone looking for any kind of dog sitting. They are both lovely people who really adore and know about dogs! (Collapse)

This was the first time they cared for my baby, Ryan, and it was a great experience. I was sent photos and frequently updated throughout the day. I plan to have them sit for Ryan on a regular schedule. It was nice to be able to work without having to worry about Ryan and/or someone being in my home.

Testimonials

It is true that I am Rhonda's mom. However, because I am her mom, I can personally attest to Rhonda's love and concern for animals. Rhonda grew up with pets ---cats, dogs, turtles. And, as soon as she could once she was out and on her own, she got her own little puppy (a sweet brindle dachshund). Later, she added a precious brindle boxer to the family. To say that Rhonda loved these pups would be an understatement. She worked hard at training them, fed them only the healthiest foods, walked them regularly, took them to the dog park, arranged for a sitter (me usually!) when she was not going to be home in time for regular feeding and/or getting out, and especially whenever she had to travel. When the sad time came that Rhonda could not take her pets with her to her new home in New Jersey, she spent hours and hours researching the right families to adopt her "babies". That was two years ago and to this day, she is still in touch with the new families. Rhonda also volunteered with the Boxer Rescue group here in North Texas when she was living here. Yup, I'm her mom. But I can promise you that if you need someone to love and care for your pets as if they were her own, she's your girl! (Collapse)

I've known Rhonda for 14 years and would leave my dog (or cat) with her in a heartbeat. I'm jealous she's living in Dallas and not Washington, DC because I can't take advantage of her doggy-loving sitting services! As for dogs, I've had the opportunity to see Rhonda with her own dogs (big and small) as well as my Lab. She is caring, in tune with the dog's needs, and patient. Also, dogs love her and seem to sense her genuine affection. As an individual, Rhonda is trustworthy. I would highly recommend her to a colleague for any dog sitting services, including in-your-house sitting. As a houseguest in my home, it's always just the way I left it (maybe even a little better!) In short-- you can trust the happiness and safety of your dog and home with Rhonda. (Collapse)

I met Rhonda and Aldred through a friend when I was looking for a dog-sitter. That was almost a year ago now. They became my go-to dog-sitters so that I could travel with my husband (he travels for work a lot). Over the last year Rhonda has given me invaluable training advice (better than PetSmart trainers), the chance to socialize Lucy with their dog Toby, helped me work on correcting problematic behaviors in my pup, peace of mind when I'm away, and have all become a part of the family over the last year. Besides my sister, there is no one else I trust more to love and care for my fur-baby. (Collapse)
