Connect with your sitter using the "Contact this Sitter" button on your sitter's profile. Consider messaging multiple sitters,
especially if you are looking for a quick response. Get to know your sitter and, if you would like, schedule a meeting between your sitter and your pooch.
Step 4: Book Your Stay and Pay Your Sitter Through Rover.com
Book your stay using the "Book It!" button on your sitter's profile or in your message thread.
Pay your sitter securely through the Rover transaction system using your credit card.
Rover.com will hold these funds until after your dog has been cared for to make sure you are satisfied with the service.
Remember that paying through Rover.com allows the site to stay up and running!
Step 5: Exchange Information with your Sitter through Rover.com
Exchange addresses, contact information, and drop off and pickup details with your sitter.
Make sure your sitter has emergency information and any details required for your dog's care.
Exchanging this information through the Rover.com messaging service ensures that this information is always available to your sitter.
Step 6: Let Your Sitter Pamper Your Dog and Enjoy your Vacation Stress-Free!
Remember, your Rover is in a happy home enjoying their stay-cation. Relax!
Step 7: Leave Your Sitter a Review

Use photos and a written description to explain your dog sitting abilities.
Choose to dog sit by hosting dogs in your home or by traveling to the dog's home (or both!)
Step 2: Respond to Inquiries
Monitor your email and/or the Rover.com site to respond to inquiries promptly.
Get to know dogs through messaging their owners on the Rover.com site or meeting them in person if necessary.
Step 3: Improve Your Search Ranking
Booking Stays: the more stays you book through Rover.com, the more members can trust you!
Reviews: Every time you complete a transaction, the dog owner will be asked to write a review about you. You will only receive reviews for stays booked through Rover.com.
Testimonials: Ask past clients and friends to write testimonials about you.
Uploading more photos of yourself and writing a lengthier description will also help improve your search ranking.
Once you and the dog owner agree to an arrangement, either of you can book the stay using the "Book It!" button on your profile or in the message thread.
The dog owner will pay securely through the Rover transaction system using his or her credit card. For more information about why paying through Rover.com rocks, please see our terms and conditions here.
Rover.com will hold these funds until after the stay has been completed to make sure that you receive the funds agreed upon for the service.

Step 6: Enjoy your time with your new Pooch!
Keep dog owners updated on his or her dog. Take pictures and send updates via the Rover messaging system.
Step 7: Write a Review
The Rover community will thank you for reviewing the dog in your care. Woof!
You can choose to receive a cash payment from Rover.com at anytime.
Cash payments are available three days after the pooch in your care is returned to his or her owner. You may also store the value earned in the form of "Rover Bucks" to use on dog care services later. "Rover Bucks" never expire!
