The meet and great went so well on the morning of drop off Zinnia was so excited to see Piper again! Piper was amazing at giving us updates on how Zinnia was doing, what they did that day, along with a bunch of photos she took during their adventures. “We were so happy with the cat sitting services provided by Lahana during our recent vacation. From the moment we met Lahana for the initial consultation, we could tell she was a true cat lover who would take wonderful care of our two kitties. Lahana took the time to get to know each of our cats' unique personalities, preferred foods and treats, favorite toys, and daily routines. We felt completely at ease leaving the cats in her capable and caring hands at her home while we were away. During their stay, Lahana sent us daily updates and photos so we could see that our babies were doing well. She followed their feeding and medication schedules to a tee, scooped the litter boxes, and gave them plenty of playtime and cuddles. They were relaxed and content when we picked them up - not stressed or anxious like they usually are after we've been away. Lahana's home was a perfect setting for the cats. It was clean, spacious, and had plenty of cozy spots for napping. She even had an assortment of toys and to keep them entertained. We will definitely be booking Lahana again the next time we travel. Her attentive, reliable, and loving cat care gave us great peace of mind to fully enjoy our trip. “I can't think of anyone better than Melissa to be a pet sitter. I am her mother so the advantage is that I know her well and I witness daily the care she gives her pets- mostly dogs - but her daughter now has a cat who is treated like a princess. Melissa walks her dogs daily. Always on a leash where required but also has some special places where dogs can be unleashed. Pets are well fed, get treats (when they behave😂), have toys, warm beds, warm jackets. She would be the person that not only feeds, walks, pets but also genuinely cares about them. About: Having been a pet owner for all my life, I am familiar with all sizes and temperaments of dog and cat breeds. I also have experience caring for bunnies, birds and livestock. I’m recently retired so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. My house is available if you need boarding or I can come to you. When your dog is in my care they will not be off-leash while outdoors unless you have a safe space for them, such as a fenced-in yard. They will get pets and cuddles, treats and exercise. I will follow your written instructions for their care and require your cell number as well as access to your vet.

About: I knew from an early age I wanted to work with animals. I started horseback riding lessons when I was ten and went on to working off my lessons by caring for the lesson horses. This led me to manage a boarding barn and earn my riding instructor license. When I moved to VT I worked at an animal shelter for dogs and cats. This inspired me to go back to college for a degree in Veterinary Technology. I worked as a Certified Vet Tech for 12 yrs. Now I would like to focus on working from home and helping pets be comfortable and safe when their people are away. I'm currently working part-time so I have plenty of time for walks and visits. I'm available on the weekends for boarding and a couple of days during the week. I have a fenced in yard and two dogs to keep your family member company. We have lots of land and trails to walk on. I have a large crate available if needed.
