“I was very lucky to have Ylva looking after my cat for two weeks I was away. Ylva was vising him twice a day, providing fresh food and water, changing litter box when needed and playing his vafourite toys, providing an update each time via Rover card. I especially like that Ylva would respond promptly to my messages which gave me peace of mind. I has already been impressed at our initial meeting when my cat came out to sniff Ylva's hands and let her pet him -he is a very shy guy and usually hides from people he never met before.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals my whole life, from my family’s pets growing up to volunteer work at shelters with rescues to pet sitting for family and friend for several years now. I grew up with both dogs and cats, and feel equally comfortable with both. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m just as comfortable with young puppies as I am with older dogs in their golden years. I have lots of experience with training puppies (and cleaning up their messes), as well as providing supportive care and giving medication to senior dogs (and tough younger customers who need some extra convincing). I have walked and hiked extensively with dogs, and I’m familiar the best parks and walking routes throughout Edinburgh. Whether they need a big run in the park or a short walk around the block, I can adapt to the pace and energy of your pet without any trouble! I’m a postgraduate student at the university, so my schedule is generally flexible throughout the week. I’m available to work with your pet most anytime of day on weekdays and weekends, especially during December and January. I’m also available to assist around the holidays with enough notice. I always take lots of care when meeting a dog for the first time, allowing them to smell and adjust to me before getting to business! I have experience with dogs of all temperaments, particularly with rescue dogs who are less trusting of people. In addition to the requested services such as feeding or walking, I also provide lots of scritches and belly rubs (if they are ok with it), as well as a proper chat with them, making sure they know how good a boy/girl they are!
