About: I have always had dogs in my life, and I currently have 3 of my own. I worked in veterinary emergency and critical care for 2 years and spent several months at a fear-free general practice before needing to take a step back from vetmed. I have 6 years of personal experience with dog training and behavior, and spent some time volunteering for a rescue on the administrative end. I am very knowledgeable on dog behavior/body language and I am comfortable working with a wide range of temperaments, ages, and breeds. Puppies, medical/behavioral needs pups, and seniors are my specialty! I am also RECOVER CPR certified. My schedule is wide open most days, and we are a very active family! We frequently go for hikes and spend time with our dogs in nature. My whole world revolves around animals and I love being able to experience the great outdoors with dogs. I use reward-based/force-free handling techniques with any dog I interact with. I try my hardest to set dogs up for success in my interactions with them - I am not afraid to spend as much time as needed to gain the trust of a fearful dog before attempting to interact directly. I am a strong believer in using body language, reward, and moving at the dog's pace to ensure dogs make good choices and have a positive experience every time they interact with me. I treat all pets I interact with as if they are my own!

About: 🐱🐶 Animals have been my whole world my whole life! I have experience with a variety of animals from fish 🐠 to turtles🐢 as well as dogs🐕 and cats🐈‍⬛. I use positive reinforcement training techniques with our three rescue dogs and I use worship all cats techniques with our cats 😆. I am comfortable and familiar with the needs of puppies and kittens as well as senior animals. So medication💊 and physical therapy💪 exercises are something I am happy to provide! I went to college for animal behavior and animal sciences and have a degree in Ecology 🌎 I completed a 2 year course in wildlife rehabilitation. I will treat your animals as if they were my own and that means they get the utmost care and attention. 🫡 I will respect and follow whatever your babies' needs and preferences are as well as yours when it comes to them and to your space. 💓 We love taking our dogs on all sorts of outdoor adventures but safety is always our top priorty⛰️🦺! I am great at reading animals and understanding the different personalities and quirks they each have so I can provide them with the best care that works for them 🧐 Every animal is different but they all deserve our best! I have a flexible schedule and my own car that allows me to be an adaptive and on call care giver. I don't mind late bookings or cancelations as I understand that things come up. I am new to rover and still figuring out what works best but am always willing to work with clients on what works best for them and their pets. Animals are my first priority but I also believe homes and personal spaces are sacred and I will always treat them with respect and attention. All animals are different so its important to use to always be aware of anything potentially unsafe. Our home is for animals first and there is nowhere they aren't allowed although animal guests and clients are always fully supervised to make sure they are safe and comfortable. Our home is very easy going and has a lot of space for different needs and comforts. In your home, I will defer to your personal preferences always.

About: I have been taking care of my own dog since I was 11! I would make sure to take him on walks, give him his baths, and make sure he’s well and fed. It has turned me into a huge animal lover and I make sure to build a personal connection with any pets I meet. I have rescued cats and dogs before! I believe they deserve all the love and care humans are expected to have 🐶🐱❤️ I have classes Monday-Thursday, but can easily fit in time to go see your pet before or after! I’m available all throughout Friday and the weekend. I would love to go let your furry friend out of the house. I make sure that the pet feels comfortable with me in their space. Every pet is different! I like to know the general “rules” of the home; Where can the pet not be in the house? Is the pet allowed to eat human food? Are there certain hours the pet shouldn’t be out? Etc. I would also like to keep allergies in mind! I wouldn’t want to bring food in that my client is allergic to and have it invade their space. There are many important factors when it comes to caring for someone’s home and their pet.

About: I am a playful dog watcher and will always be engaged when your dog is in my care! I have experience training puppies as well as training dogs who are older and need some more guidance. Size of a dog doesn't matter, I have experience with dogs that are bigger than 110+ pounds and that are as tall as my waist. I have owned all different types of breeds and have knowledge about certain care some breeds might need. I have experience with labs, poodles, mastiffs, pugs, spaniels, terriers, greyhounds, pitbulls, and more. I would absolutely love to get to know your furry friend and take them out on adventures or for a simple walk through town! Your pet will never be bored or unhappy while we're together! I am a local teacher and am very excited to watch awesome pups all summer! I am walking distance from downtown Bar Harbor! I will ask specifically what can and cannot happen on my day with your pup, if I have any plans to take them out I will let you know in advance. I also send dozens of photos all day to you :) Accomdating your pet into my schedule is a lot easier than one might assume! I work right in Bar Harbor! Just message me for availability! I thoroughly clean my space before your pets arrival and tidy up around so there will be no issues with accidental swallowing of random objects I am currently on summer vacation as a full time teacher! I am as free as a bird for the next month! I will begin full time teaching at the end of August and will only be available during after school hours starting at 4pm. My calendar will let you know if I am away or available! Whatever special accommodations your pet will need, I will provide. Just let me know! I'm super flexible with your needs. Your home will look just the way you left it :)

I am happy to treat your fur babies to the finest care during the day, overnight, while you are on vacation, or once in awhile for walks, hikes, check ins, at your place or mine! A popular request this summer has been from folks on visiting who would like me to day sit at their campground/rv/hotel/air bnb while they enjoy the park, biking, boating or going out to eat. For boarding, My husband and I have a wonderful centrally located home in the Acadia region off the island. We have a fenced in yard and can take the stress out of leaving your pets while on vacation. Pick up and drop off can be arranged at the head of the island if requested. Wedding or event coming up? I can be your pets chaperon then too, just ask :) Need to exercise your pup? Mini day hikes available too- custom fit for your pups comfort. This summer I am taking a sabbatical to my career job which means more hiking, walks and freedom to spend time with your pet- with flexible scheduling :) While my home offers a wonderful spacious lawn and garden area for the pups with a secure 4' ht enclosed fence, pets are never left unattended in the area. Happy to board with your routine in mind in terms of crating or free range of our home and total pampering. Pet sitting at your home is welcome too!

Perhaps most importantly, though, a dog can add real joy and unconditional love to your life. More than any other animal, dogs have evolved to become acutely attuned to humans and our behavior and emotions. While dogs are able to understand many of the words we use, they’re even better at interpreting our tone of voice, body language, and gestures. And like any good human friend, a loyal dog will look into your eyes to gauge your emotional state and try to understand what you’re thinking and feeling (and to work out when the next walk or treat might be coming, of course). I have a dog 🐶 at home, 2! It’s second nature 2 me, but always a priority 2 ensure the pets I look after have 100% of my attention while 2gthr. I never forget 2 fill water bowls, provide reward treats, feed on time , get outside of course, excercise at least 30mins a day & have calm comfortable place 2 sleep. It’s easy 2 do since I need many of the same things they need!! I truly adore dogs. In 2021 I saved the life of a choking dog using choking protocol & cpr. His name is Savoy, an 11yo JRT living in Copley Sq. After I saved his life, he was rushed to the emergency ASPCA in Brookline where he spent 8 hours on a breathing machine to regain healthy oxygen levels.
