Hello - My name is Alessondra and I am bringing my successful Seattle Rover experience to Portland! In Seattle I had a handful of repeat clients that I exclusively worked for. I develop strong relationships with both the owners and pets. I specialize in working with dogs that have high anxiety, behavioral issues, and need help leash training. I am now opening the scheduling books for PDX! I have been caring for animals my whole life. I first fell in love with animals while spending the summers at my Aunts Farm in Ohio. I've also had family pets ranging from puppies - seniors while growing up. I first started professionally pet sitting while in College for my friends and family. Alessondra is one of our favorite sitters! She adds personal touch to her service and makes sure our dog Juni is happy and safe!
This was Alé's second stay with our dog and she did a fantastic job! We were out of the country for two full weeks so it was comforting to know that our little one was in great hands. We were in opposite time zones and Alé was great at communicating each days events, sending us photos and even responding quickly when we needed to get in touch. The house was in perfect condition when we got home and most importantly our dog seemed to be happy, healthy and stress free!
Allessondra did an amazing job with my anxious, nervous, grumpy old aussie and was cuddling with him by the end of the weekend (a treat generally reserved for just me). She was great at understanding his tension and behavior when he needs space, and when I came home he was happy as could be. I would recommend her to anyone based on her care and understanding for a sweet dog who just needs love in his own way.
This was our first experience with Rover, and it was the best possible experience we could've asked for. Alé stayed at our house and watched our dogs for eight days. She took great care of our house and even better care of our dogs, taking them on fun adventures, sending daily pictures, and even giving them a bath before we came home. She was responsive, responsible, and in general someone we want to be friends with. I highly recommend Alé!

- does your dog have areas that they do not like to be pet? ex: ears, paws - can your dog greet other dogs while walking? - can your dog be let out in only a partially fenced in yard (they will always be supervised, never left outside alone) - anything specific that will make your loved one more comfortable ex: do they have a favorite game they like to play? A favorite park they like to go to?
A typical day
I currently live in the Kerns neighborhood. I am new to the area and love taking long walks while exploring my new neighborhood. I am an active person and, if your dog is high energy, I can run with your dog. If runs are needed/wanted, your dog must be trained to run without grabbing at the leash. Only dogs that already have experience running with a companion are eligible for RunWalks. RunWalks are charged at $2 more per walk. RunWalks can be included with overnights stays , no extra charge. RunWalks for overnight stays must be agreed upon when booking.
