8. Cleopatra J.
About: We have over two years of experience caring for a Poodle/Schnauzer cross, Dexter. We stay in his home three to four times a year for extended periods, up to two weeks at a time, managing his daily routine, exercise, and well-being while his family is away. Additionally, we had a springer spaniel (very energetic!) puppy live with us for two months, where we developed skills in training, socialisation, and adapting to the unique needs of younger dogs. Our hands-on experience with both adult dogs and puppies has given us a strong foundation in caring for dogs. Cleo, a university lecturer, works from home most days, making it easy to fit pet care into the daily routine. Whether a pet needs feeding, walking, or companionship at specific times, she can provide consistent care throughout the day. Any pet that boards with us would have almost constant companionship, as Cleo spends so much time at home. Ella works in community engagement and offers additional support during the week day when her schedule allows. In the evenings and on weekends, your dog will get lots of attention from both of us! In our home, we provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets can feel at ease. We have a secure, enclosed garden, perfect for supervised play and fresh air. Inside, pets are welcome to go anywhere in the house and we have a room upstairs where they can go if they want some quiet time. We will tailor our routine to match their usual schedule as closely as possible, so they don't feel unsettled when they come to stay. Walks will be on or off-lead, just let us know what you prefer. When caring for pets in their own home, we maintain their familiar routine, offering consistency in feeding, exercise, and companionship. We prioritise safety by following any specific care instructions and keeping a close eye on their well-being.

“Stephen was a much loved favourite with our dear departed dog, Wilby. He was always great at playing with him as a pup and they enjoyed many lovely walks together throughout the years and was more than happy to be under his care while we were away for any reason. 18. Madison S.
About: After completing a course in level 3 animal management at college I have been working in a kennels for just over 5 years and love every moment. As well as working with dogs every day I have two of my own at home. I already regularly cat sit for two lovely cats and I’m keen to start caring for more pets. I currently work full time but due to long days I have 3 days off a week which I’d like to fill with looking after animals. My days off differ every other week. I am happy to look after your pets in your own home so they feel comfortable. If appropriate I am also happy to socialise dogs with my two dogs and have them come to me. We have a fenced off garden which is safe for dogs to play in.

19. Ingrid M.
About: I have had dogs on and off for nearly all of my life, including Alsatians, Old English Sheepdog and Toy Poodle. For the past 11 years it has been Westie's and at present we own Harry, who came from a rescue organisation. Once he knows them, Harry is very relaxed about other dogs.. I often look after a couple of friends dogs when they go on holiday and I am a foster for one dog rescue, which is incredibly rewarding. I love dogs and realised very quickly how difficult it is to find good and reliable care and hence decided to offer this service myself. I am not professional, but a caring and experienced dog owner with knowledge of rescue dog issues and ways to manage these, this includes blindness and separation anxiety. I am fully DBS checked. I don't go out to work and therefore can provide a 24/7 service - I am often available at short notice. We have a park close by so lots of short or longer walks are no problem I have a large fully fenced in back garden without access to a road, which I would deem escape proof ( something we had to ensure before the rescue organisation would consider us), We have lots of toys, balls, blankets and dog beds and can provide fun and excitement or a calm and relaxed environment, whichever is best suited to your pet.
