“I can't recommend Sam Sage enough for dog sitting! Sam took absolutely wonderful care of my senior dog, Cali, and I couldn't have felt more at ease while I was away. Cali isn’t the easiest dog to look after – she’s an old lady with arthritis, separation anxiety, and daily medications. She also has a tendency to bolt if given the chance, which always makes me nervous when leaving her with someone new. From the very beginning, Sam went above and beyond. Not only did they handle Cali’s meds like clockwork, but they were incredibly patient and thoughtful with her. Sam made sure to take her on regular walks, but they were careful to pay attention to how Cali was feeling. The moment she started limping, Sam didn’t push her – they stopped immediately, let her rest, and adjusted their routine to make sure she wasn’t overdoing it. That kind of awareness and care really stood out to me. One of the things I appreciated most was the constant communication. Sam sent me photos and videos throughout the entire time I was gone. I could see Cali happily lounging at home, getting her belly rubs, and taking gentle strolls. Seeing those updates not only reassured me but also made me feel connected to Cali even from afar. Sam’s attention to detail and their willingness to keep me in the loop was such a comfort, especially knowing how anxious Cali can get when I’m not around. If you’re looking for someone to care for your dog – especially one with extra needs – I wholeheartedly recommend Sam. They treated Cali like their own and gave her the love, patience, and attention she deserves. Not only is she conscientious and genuinely affectionate, learning each of my beasties individual wants and needs, she’s smart and resourceful in an unexpected emergency. When my elderly St. Bernard developed bloody diarrhea, Jaime assessed him and the situation, called us, and had already come up with the likely problem and solution. My daughter, who just got her doctorate in veterinary medicine was seriously impressed (and that happens rarely). Jaime and her daughter took turns through the night checking on Guinness hourly, giving us updates and truly nursing him back to health. I hesitated writing this review because she is the ONLY pet sitter I will ever want from here on out, and if everyone catches on to her skills and loving care, I may not be able to book her on short notice. WOW! Just WOW!”
