“We were very happy that Charlie was available to care for our Bernese Mountain dog. We took our dog for a meet and greet before the stay. Charlie was focused on our dog and her interaction with other dogs and humans. He had a big fenced yard too. Charlie provided regular updates during our trip. They were wonderful at our “meet and greet” and accommodated a last minute change to our pick up schedule. They are flexible, nurturing dog lovers! Chloe can be anxious adjusting to changes but she runs into Doc's back yard and feels right at home. We love getting photos of Chloe hanging out in their fenced-in yard or lazing around comfortably in their house. She is relaxed and calm when we pick her up. “This was our first time leaving our pup, Leia, and we were a bit nervous. Leia needs a lot of attention and isn't the easiest dog to care for. She needs a daily walk and because she is so small (she's been circled by a hawk) she can't be let out to do her business unattended. Taking care of her requires lots of outdoor time! She also doesn't do well with other dogs so boarding her or staying with someone who has a dog is out. Howie and his family were absolutely perfect! They took amazing care of Leia, provided us with pictures, sent daily updates, and did everything to set our mind at ease. Howie responded quickly to all my texts and encouraged us to check in whenever we wanted. He was also very accommodating with pick up and drop off- especially when we encountered a weather delay and came in hours later than we expected. We don't travel often but when we do, I know Howie will be the first one I call. Knowing that Leia was being so well cared for and being loved allowed us to really enjoy our vacation.
