“Dave and Liz are lifesavers... almost literally! I had a true emergency and had to be admitted to the hospital overnight. Darwin had been left at home in his enclosure, with just a little food and water. I have no friends or family in the area that can handle an active, rambunctious dog. Thank goodness I know Liz and Dave! Darwin has stayed with them on multiple occasions and has always had a good time with them. I called Dave and he drove over to my house and picked him up. He stayed overnight with them until I could get back on my feet. They are both really good with dogs, especially Dave, who is firm but loving with willful dogs. Today, I was able to pick Darwin up and he looked great. Thank you so much for everything during a hard time! Knowing them gave me peace of mind so that I could concentrate on recovering my health.”

“Lorrie watched my two pups for 4 days the second week of April. It was apparent from our initial meeting in March that she really loves animals and that she knows her stuff. Lorrie indicated that her previous career was a veterinary technician for many years, which put my mind at ease. Her home is set up perfectly to attend to the needs of the dogs in her care. The home features a large, fenced in yard which allows dogs to get their outdoor time several times a day. She sent me daily text updates which included photos of my dogs. Being 600 miles away, the daily updates were very much appreciated. When I picked up my pups they were happy, healthy and they both gave her farewell kisses. Nice! I highly recommend Lorrie to anyone considering a pet sitter while you are out of town.”

“As a first-time Rover user, I was nervous about leaving our rescue dog with someone new. She's very shy and easily scared around people outside our immediate family, so I wasn’t sure how she would adjust to a sitter’s home—especially with kids. We tried a few short drop-in visits at other homes, but she just wasn’t comfortable. With an international trip coming up, we had to keep trying—and that’s when we met Stephanie and her wonderful family. Right away, my dog warmed up to Stephanie and her two kids. About: I’ve had pets my entire life, and two years ago I worked with a dog-sitting company—a truly rewarding experience. I love being surrounded by these four-legged friends, and I have a natural ability to communicate with them. I am currently off for the summer, but starting in September, I will be mostly available after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the weekends. We are currently in the process of fencing our extra-large backyard to ensure that all visiting puppies have a safe, spacious area to play and have fun. In the meantime, I’ll be taking them for walks around the block.
