She went above and beyond taking pictures with her and playing with her and taking videos and sending them to me and giving me my daily check-ins, in addition to just the normal feeding and changing her litter box. Pepper loved her time with Lauren and I honestly think Pepper has been missing her since she is gone because she played with her so much. She is so mellow, so sweet, so friendly, so reliable and responsible, and I knew pepper was in the best of hands when I was a 6 hour plane ride away! About: I have been dog sitting for years but started Rover in 2022. I started out caring for my two pugs and cat, and have been sitting for family, friends, and folks on Rover. I am currently working as an overnight nursing assistant on Sunday-Tuesday, so I have plenty of time to take care and play with your pet! The rest of the days I am here to help, so they can get all the love and attention they can get while you’re away! When I am at a client’s home I make sure fencing is secured if needed. My home has a fence as well. I also make sure they have enough place to play whether it could be inside or out. I prefer to be outside with them! I love being active with animals but if you’re pet is somewhat a couch potato OR old, I can comfort them in whatever way they feel comfortable.

“If Barbara were not a person she would be a dog, or a cat, or a donkey, or a goat, or a duck, or a chicken. Just ask any of those animals that she lives with and they would agree. Probably the highest pet care praise that Barbara can receive comes from the actions of her veterinarian's family. Even though he has his own vet practice and can board his dogs there (probably for free), when they go on vacation they pay Barbara to care for their dogs at her home. Barbara lives in a rural setting with no close neighbors to be bothered by barking, or braying, crowing or clucking. Her property is fenced and cross fenced and has many shelters and feeding stations for livestock animals as well as a variety of large indoor and outdoor spaces for smaller critters. If you only want someone to visit your pet pal and tend to their needs and take them for a walk, Barbara enjoys that too. One of her favorite things to do is to walk through neighborhoods that are new to her so she can enjoy the view of other people's gardens. If I were someone's pet I would be glad if Barbara came to visit me, and even more glad if I got to visit her.”

“Miyah dog sat over the weekend for me while I was away. She took the utmost wonderful care of my almost 11 year old bully. She ensured he was walked, fed, played with and loved. Upon request I did receive a few pictures of him enjoying his time outside as weather allowed. I felt comfortable leaving him with her and would do it again! Her communication was wonderful as she was polite and responded in a timely manner. I recommend her to sit and keep your furry friend company.”
