About: I was raised around pets. Whether it was our rescue dogs, fish that we got from the local fair, or a few local stray cats that we fed in the neighborhood! I have most experience with dogs, from my own dog Hazel, to pet sitting for friends as well. I am a college student with a part time job in the morning. Late afternoon and evening visits are going to be my most available times. I can schedule mornings with more advanced notice. I am able to come and visit at your home for as much time needed with advanced notice. I do not provide care for pets at my personal home, but am willing to drive to your home.

About: Besides taking care of my own precious miniature schnauzer growing up, I have looked over dogs for several families for the past 10+ years with services including boarding, walks, visits and doggy day care for all kinds of breeds. I had to be inactive on rover for a couple of years due to moving but happy to be back! I have also worked as a receptionist/assistant at a Veterinary clinic where I interacted and looked over many different breeds that passed through or stayed over night. During this time I also learned a lot about how to assist dogs with medical issues and important signs of needing urgent care. I have a deep love for all kinds of animals, dogs (& cats!) especially, and would be more than happy to take care of your furry friends just as I would my own! I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have and will always make sure your dog is happy, comfortable, and well looked after :) I can adjust my schedule to their wake up/meal times as well. On the weekends, I can take them out to dog friendly spaces if that is something they enjoy 😊 Before any stay, I make sure everything is set up for your pup’s arrival and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a dog gate to prevent them from getting out or from going anywhere I can’t keep an eye on them. For stays or visits, I don’t take any dog out off leash for walks and I make sure to put on their leash securely before opening the door. If they will be left alone for any reason, I will generally place them in their crate for their safety unless you are comfortable with them being out. I currently work part time and am usually home all day on Mondays and Fridays. I'm able to adjust my schedule to accomodate your pets routine better and would also be able to take them with me sometimes! “When my daughter was young, we had to keep after her to feed our dog and take care of him. We had a cat who showed up one day and she was our pet for several years, but she ended up with cancer. By this time, my daughter was a teenager and we went together with the cat to the vet. She handled it well as the vet took care of her and it sparked her interest in animal care. After that, she started taking complete care of our dog and ended up working as a kennel tech our veterinarian's office, as well as at an aviary. That's when she decided she wanted to be a veterinarian. She chose not to fulfill her dream of being a vet, but she has always loved and done well with animals. Instead of being a vet, she graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, where she learned about a wide variety of animals and plants. While at UF, she was a kennel tech at a doggie day care. She also frequently volunteered with Operation Catnip to assist with the pre-op and post-op care of stray cats being spayed and neutered. I know she would be a great asset to Rover and I have complete confidence she would be able to handle any situation with the dogs.”
