“Years ago, I went on occasional hikes with Rachel and her late dog, Tanner. Tanner was one of the very best dogs I've known, and Rachel is a wonderful dog mom. Last year, she took care of my dear dog Chili while I was gone for two months. It was really hard to leave Chili for that long, but I wouldn't have trusted anyone as much as Rachel to take good care of her, and she sure did, dealing with Chili dog getting fleas, wanting a lot of attention, and taking a while to get along with the resident cat. Chili was beside herself and overjoyed when I got back, of course, but when I sat down to visit, she kept going back to Rachel for cuddles-it was very sweet.
