“Valerie was so lovely with Onslow! We had frequent updates (with absolutely gorgeous photos!) of how Onslow was getting on. He got to play with some other puppies whilst he was staying and had lots of great walks. Valerie even did some training with him. Was such a releif to know he was in safe hands. “I was very worried before leaving Finn because he's a Romanian rescue dog and is rather anxious. He is quite a growly, vocal dog and, until he learned to trust us, he would occasionally nip through fear. This meant that no-one in my family wanted to look after him. We'd had a walk previously with Andre which had gone well so Finn had met him but I was still not sure how he'd be without us in a strange house. I needn't have worried! Andre sent me regular photos and updates. After an initial growly start from Finn on the first day, he'd settled in well and was a really good boy. Andre said he'd be happy to have him again. I'm so relieved that we've finally found someone that Finn is confident and happy with. It made my holiday so much more relaxing! Thank you so much!”

“Alex is an absolute favorite of our dog Theo. He loves her, so much so that he struggles to contain himself when he hears her voice, which is probably the best recommendation. She has looked after Theo both at our home, and taken him home for a sleepover on a number of occasions (reliable and trusted by us as housesitter - leaves the house in good order - tidy and conscientious). She has looked after Theo both short-term (overnight and weekends), but on one occasion for a fortnight. During the longer stay, she kept us updated with messages, pics, and videos to let us know how he was getting along which was great. It seems that Alex is also really good with cats although we've not used this service - she has a lovely tabby of her own who is used to overnight guests - luckily Roo (the cat) and Theo get along just fine Wholeheartedly recommend Alex as a substitute pet mom.”

About: I've always enjoyed the company of dogs, caring for and training my own since I was a kid. Now I share my home with one dog, two guinea pigs, two gerbils, a tortoise, and a spider. Plus my partner and a couple of teenagers. We're often asked to pet sit for friends, colleagues, and family. We have recently hosted holidays for: a puppy, two regular guinea-pig visitors, gerbils and hamsters, and cat sitting pop-ins for our friends in the village. But there's always room for one more, so we'll treat your dog like one of the family. I work from home on Mondays, Fridays, and I'm free all weekend, so long weekends are ideal for boarders. However, with more notice we can arrange care throughout the week, so get in touch and let me know what you need. Our garden is securely fenced front and back, and your dog will have the run of downstairs and the garden and my own dog for company. At night the dog/s sleep downstairs in the sitting room or kitchen, with plenty of comfy places to choose from, or we can find a cosy corner to put your dog's favourite bed in.
