“We decided last minute to go to Vegas for the weekend. I had everything planned out except what to do with my Leia. She's not around other dogs so I had to be pretty specific when it came to animals at the sitters home. I out the request in on a Monday and set up to meet her and her dog on Tuesday. Leia was a bit jumpy with her dog to start with but Carol was fine with it... She was like oh she'll be fine. I booked her and dropped off Friday. I received daily pictures and when we went to pick up Leia she acted like she ruled the house :) Will definitely book again.”

“Susan, is a nice person, I felt comfortable with her and her dogs at our first meeting. Cody was fine with her dogs and in the back yard all was good! So I left feeling confident this would be good. We dropped him off he was in the back yard with the other dogs, so we snuck out and left. Maybe not the best way to do it. 🤷‍♀️. About 3 hours later I talked to Susan, she said Cody was calming down….so the nervous Nelly I am, I panicked. Susan calmed me down, and said he would be fine, Dogs do that when it’s their first time at a new place. So I was good leaving him.The more time I had to think, I had my Husband go pick him up. I felt bad . I knew I wouldn’t have a good time leaving him. I knew Susan could deal with him., it was my fault. I would ask Susan if we could try again.. Just for a day, if she would have us. I would highly recommend Susan and Rover! Its owners like me ….. can be trouble. .. I’m sorry.”

My husband is an additional caregiver and can provide backup when needed. We are both well versed and experienced in animal care. When caring for pets, safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a secure and welcoming environment with plenty of space for dogs to explore and relax. My house is equipped with a dog door leading to a dedicated 10x30 ft dog run area, allowing for safe outdoor access. I carefully section off areas of my home to accommodate different energy levels and needs, ensuring every dog feels comfortable and secure. We have toys, crates, dog beds, and pretty much anything you might need to feel at home. For dog walking and potty breaks, I prioritize your pet’s safety by using secure leashes and harnesses, and I always choose safe, familiar routes that minimize exposure to potential hazards. I make sure your dog gets the right amount of exercise based on their individual needs and energy level. I’m attentive to their comfort and behavior during our time outside especially in the extreme summer weather. I check pavement to make sure it's a safe temperature, I don't utilize dog parks unless you prefer, I routinely use two collars and two leashes for extra safety. I do not drive with animals in my car (exception is in the event of an emergency to travel to the vet). For in-your home care, I take the time to understand your pet’s routine and preferences to maintain a consistent environment that feels familiar and safe. I can do post surgery care (I've done ACL and MPL recovery), puppy whelping, baths and light housework (trash, dishes, vacuuming, removing anything on the floor or hazards.
