“Lori and Michael were absolutely wonderful with my dog. I was so nervous to leave her with “strangers” as she had never been left anywhere before in the 4 years I’ve had her. It was only 1 night, but I was very anxious. My dog being my only child, she means everything to me. We set up an initial meet and greet, and that went very well! It definitely helped calm my nerves, and my dog was so happy and excited. She ran around their home and sniffed the yard top to bottom. I could tell right away that Lori is a dog person and felt comfortable with my dog. She sat on the floor with her, gave her treats etc.. and when my dog showed her true temperament Lori wasn’t taken aback. My dog is so lovable with me, but very fearful and anxious around strangers. She doesn’t always like being pet by strangers, and I’ve only found a few people who can swoop her up and her be okay with it. The day I left Lori and Michael sent me lots of photos of my dog, and kept me updated every step of the way. It made my heart happy to see her sleeping on her bed, and eventually enjoying Michael’s lap. My dog wouldn’t let Lori and Michael fully enjoy her, and they had to keep their distance from petting her but I could tell my dog felt safe. I’d definitely recommend Lori and Michael, as they truly love animals and are passionate about what they do. It’s a lot of work to watch a dog like mine, and they were so patient with her. I really appreciated that they understand and were okay with my dogs specific needs and how she acts. I wish she was lovey dovey to strangers, but she isn’t and I’m so glad they were not taken aback by that. Leaving my dog in the future will still be really hard, but I fully trust Lori & Michael and will use them again in the future if I need too. Thanks so much for taking care of Ava for me ❤️”

“This Australian Shepherd Fenway’s second stay with Jessie. When we pulled up to Jessie’s place Fen was eager to get out and was very eager to go inside Jessie’s house. Fen’s reaction was key in letting me know what his first experience was like with Jessie. In both Fen’s stay there were multiple dogs there already, everyone was very calm and welcoming of the new guest and everyone appeared to get along extremely well. Jessie is soft spoken and has a very calm demeanor, this is obviously transferred into the dogs during their stay. Jessie was very good at keeping me updated during Fen’s stay with text and photos, I really appreciated. I honestly don’t know how this experience could have gone better for Fen or myself.”

“I have already recommended Cate and her wonderful family to many people. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention they gave to our beloved Ruthie. Our little girl was spoiled in the best way. She went on canal walks, visited grandma, and slept in beds. She got to chase squirrels up trees in a beautiful fenced-in backyard. When I met Cate and Rich, it was clear they were very well-organized, responsible, and had a deep love for dogs. Cate spent time talking to me so she knew exactly what Ruthie needed. I'm a bit of a worrywart, and Cate made me comfortable from our first meeting. She sent pictures, which was so special. We don't often leave our dog, but having Cate means that we have a whole new world open to us where we can actually go places. Thank you so much, Cate, for the care and affection you provided our Ruthie and therefore our whole family!”
