She was also flexible when I needed to push our first drop in time back a few hours because we left later than we thought. Our dog and cat were well taken care of despite the fact that our animals were a bit gruffy about having a stranger drop in. The only thing I would change is I wish we got more pictures, but that is something I could have communicated more before we left, so it's no big deal. I also appreciated her doing a meet and greet beforehand and she was very sweet with our pup during that time. Thanks so much for watching them - especially with all the snow we got!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life. I have taken care of friends and family’s pets before. Big dogs like boxers, high energy dogs like poodles, and sassy dogs like frenchies lol. I also have lots of experience cat sitting kittens, senior cats, and a three legged cat as well. I also have experience administering medication to pets! I’m currently a grad student in Lincoln and have a flexible schedule around school work. I already love to take walks on my own so walking with your pet would be nothing new to my routine! I am very respectful in other people’s homes, can follow direction or specific requests. I would build trust with your pet well enough for them to know they are safe and taken care of. I can clean out litter boxes, administer medication or vitamins, and give plenty of enrichment!

“Alaina did a really good job with working with us beforehand by allowing our dog to get to know her as she is not good with strangers, and make sure they would be comfortable with her, including doing a short trial run to make sure Esther would allow Alaina in the house without us there, and that really soothed our nerves while going on vacation. It was nice to get daily photos and not have to worry that someone is there taking care of our animals. I know Alaina is also working around a school schedule, but she discussed that with us beforehand and what to expect since some days her schedule would be different. The only time we had a bit of worry was when she had some car problems, but she still got to our house and took care of the animals. If it's a possibility, we will definitely use Alaina again. Esther has made another friend for life.”

About: My family has been fostering animals since I was a kid, and dogs are my favorite animal by far. I’m currently working grooming dogs and volunteer grooming at shelters but when I’m not there I still want to be with precious dogs all the time. My schedule is entirely flexible but based on set appointments but efficiency is my forte so doing multiple tasks and having daily schedule is important to me and how my time is spent. Any rules and schedules the dog is on I will follow to a tee, I have years of experience with dogs and plan to continue that experience.
