About: I was raised by a mother who specialized in breeding Border Collies, and as a result, I frequently worked with newborn and young puppies. In addition to this, we assisted a local breeder of Labrador Retrievers—black, brown, and yellow—in caring for her litters, particularly when she required additional support or was away. Our household also included family dogs, neighborhood rescue cats, and a horse. As an adult, my passion for animals has remained strong. Over the past 12 years, I have had the joy of caring for our rescue Border Collie-Black Lab mix, whom we recently had to say goodbye to. We also currently have a 10-year-old cat. Currently, I have a 6 year old starting 1st grade and a 3 year old son. We recently lost our sweet 12 year old rescue and are not yet ready for a new pup. We would love to help you with your furry family members! My son and I are free most mornings after school drop offs and we can also accommodate afternoons/ evenings after 2:30pm pick up with my daughter. Most weekends also work for walking, boarding, or check ins. We have a small, gated backyard with a patch of fake grass. We live very close to Vasona/oak meadow park and Bachman park and would be happy to share the neighborhood with your furry friends. We would treat your family like our family! We would of course follow whatever rules the owner felt comfortable with, but would include our friend indoors and outdoors in all family activities including walks and meals and playtimes inside and outside. We had an indoor/outdoor dog before and have baby gates blocking off each level of our house. We have an indoor outdoor cat who is very used to dogs and is low key.

“Christine was awesome! Last week was the first time she worked for us as our cat sitter. Our cat is old, on twice-a-day medication, and also just came out of surgery a few days before and was wearing a onesie which prevents him from licking the suture. I only had time to leave Christine written instructions on post surgery care, which requires checking on the suture twice a day, and grooming without messing the surgery area. Christine took on this rather complicated challenge without complaint. During my trip, I received her timely and detailed visit summary. She also went above and beyond - our cat peed on the onesie one day and Christine spent extra time to wash and dry the onesie before putting it back on. She also made sure that our cat was not licking the suture while the onesie was getting dried. She is patient, caring, and considerate. We came back home yesterday and our cat is healthy, happy, and recovering well. Thank you Christine!”

About: I've been around pets my whole life! Since I was young, my family has adopted three cats and five rescue dogs. We now have two dachshunds and treat them like special family members. I have experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting for neighbors and friends, which includes everything from walking and feeding to snuggling and playing. I recently graduated from college and am in the process of finding a job. I'm very flexible with time and currently available any day or time of the week! When caring for pets, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. About: R.I.P Bear 9/2023 💜 From a young age, I have been passionate about rescuing and caring for animals. At 5, I rescued my first cat, Ash, who lived until he was 23. Over the years, I rescued three more cats as kittens: Angel (21 years), Smokey (22 years), and Roo. At 10, I got my first dog, Pumpkin, a Retriever and Chow Chow mix with severe anxiety and some aggression issues due to abandonment. Through patience and love, I successfully trained Pumpkin, built his trust, and greatly improved his behavior. He lived a wonderful life until his passing in 2014. In 2015, I rescued Bear, a Shepherd and Chow Chow mix with an outgoing personality who loves cats and is a great protector. I have extensive experience administering medication to both cats and dogs and providing exceptional care for kittens, puppies, and older pets. With a flexible schedule, I kindly request advance notice as I am also a mom. I am very flexible with my time since I work from home. However, I prefer advance notice since I am a mom and still work. I adapt to you and your fury family member’s needs. Just communicate your expectations and I will always deliver! I had a dog with anxiety and I want to ensure that each furry friend feels comfortable and loved.
