“We are full time RVers and wanted to board our dogs while we explored San Antonio for the day. Tambre provided a loving home environment and I was able to enjoy my day knowing my pups were in good care. I received pics on how they were doing. Recommend if you are out of towners looking for a home environment.”

“Sarah was a fantastic sitter for our Maltese. She kept us well-informed of how things were going with pictures and texts. Our dog was very excited to play with Sarah's Maltese and hang out with her family. We'll certainly use Sarah again for day care services!”
5. Elisabeth & Gerald R.
“Elisabeth, Gerald and their sweet pups are the absolute best! Not only do they take wonderful care of my pup, Tenn, but they also keep me updated with photos all day long. They're considerate, kind and very flexible. Tenn will run up to the door and wait to go inside (she usually doesn't like to leave my side). I don't worry about Tenn at all when she's with them because I know they're caring for her like she's one of their own.”

About: My family would love a dog or cat, but it wouldn’t be fair to them when we travel in the summers. Still, we love animals and nothing would make us happier than to take care of your 4-legged family member when we’re here - you’d be doing US a favor! I’m experienced with puppies, seniors, and animals requiring special care/meds. An equal opportunity petter and ball-thrower. I teach, so I’m available on weekends or late afternoons for a walk/run or drop-in, or to host a pet or two of yours at our house. I also have flexibility over school holidays. We live in a house with a fully fenced-in yard and lots of space to run. We're in a quiet neighborhood, so there are no busy roads to worry about on walks or runs. I've crate-trained puppies and am comfortable with whatever is best for you and your dog.

13. Faith H.
“I arranged for Faith to watch my dog when I flew into town for a special event. This was my first time leaving her with anyone. Faith did a great job, and my pup was in great spirits when I picked her up after a three-hour stay. I recommend!”

About: I have fostered for rescues since 2013. Then I opened my own local rescue in 2019. I focus on large breed dogs that were neglected, overbred, underloved, and abandoned. ALL funds from Rover go into my dog rescue ❤️ I am also currently battling my soul dog’s brain tumor so income goes to her vet bills as well I work 6 hour shifts most of the week but am otherwise home. Food and water is left in the room as well as DogTv, toys, and chews! I leave pee pads just in case as well. Our main dog room is a finished garage. It is temperature controlled and there are a minimum of two doors/fences between your dogs and any exits or other dogs. Every door is sturdy and kept locked while I’m not home. The other dogs in the home do not make much noise so your dogs probably won’t even know they exist :) I do keep white noise on in the room as well. This includes a loud fan or the AC plus “dog tv” at a comfortable volume. I know some dogs need time to feel safe in a new environment. So I spend the first hour or two letting them come and go, walking them on leash to grow trust, and sitting with them in the kennel. I wait until they’re comfortable before I leave them alone. There is also a nanny camera on them at all times. I check it through the day to make sure they are not nervous at any time. We do have some dog friendly dogs in the home. If you’d like your dog to make a friend , let me know and I will SAFELY and slowly introduce them the way I do with all of my dogs in the rescue!
15. Candice S.
“My dogs LOVE Candice! They get so excited, they can tell she’s coming even before she gets to the door. They are so IN LOVE with her they will just sit and watch her… waiting for her to speak to them. My dogs are large (Saint Bernard and Lab/Rottie mix) so I feel like she could handle any animal.”

About: I offer DISCOUNT for MILITARY service!! If you stopped on my profile, hello, and thank you for your consideration! A little about me, because who cares for your pets matters, right?! It does to me! I started working in Veterinary medicine in 2006 and I now have 18 years experience working in animal emergency and specialty medicine. I am certified in veterinary basic and advanced CPR! I can offer your pet all kinds of medical services like injections, subcutaneous fluids, oral medications, bandage changing, wound cleaning and maintenance etc. Otherwise I happily offer your pets companionship, a play pal and a care taker who gives lots of love! I have many years experience working with a variety of species and temperaments and behaviors with animals. I grew up on a ranch in Canton TX with horses, cattle, pigs, chickens etc and I have owned reptiles, rodents, fish, cats and dogs my entire life as well. Domestic or exotics I love them ALL! My passion has been helping animals. And I’d love to help you with your fur baby/babies while you’re away or if they need a walk or just some affection or play time or some extra medical care! After many years of service in the Veterinary Emergency field I decided it was time to take a little more positive shift in work and something that offered me more flexibility in my schedule to be available to my children more. I still work relief in Veterinary Medicine, but care taking for pet owners like you is who I happily help on a daily basis. Please let me know how I can assist in caring for your furry family member. I treat them as I would my own. Animals are a precious gift to us humans, we do not deserve them, and they deserve nothing but LOVE 🐾 💕 I try my best to fit your needs! Just message me any requests! My schedule is flexible but can get busy, so I will always try to give you many options, reach out to me and let me know what you’re needing, I’m sure we can make something work! :) I prefer to care for pets in your home. It is less stressful for them and they are more comfortable in their own environment. I am always respectful of ones home, I clean any messes your furry one may have made, and i'm always sure to lock up for safety when I leave and update you promptly.

“Minnie had a great stay with Katie. She provided excellent communication and fun photos of their day. You know it was a great day when your pup sleeps the entire evening after pick up. I’ll highly recommend Katie’s services and we can’t wait to have another doggie day stay.”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was around 12 years old in my neighborhood. I was known for my dog walking and feeding services. I have also gained trust with my friends who allow me to feed and watch over their pets while they're away on business trips. I'm currently working part-time so I have a flexible schedule to take care of your cute dog or cat. I respect your house and your pets space and want them to be as comfortable as possible. Whether that's with walks, feeding, house sits, or check-ins I look forward to helping you! I want to make sure I become a friendly face to your pup or cat. I strongly encourage meet and greets :) When visiting them for feeding or to go for a walk I'll make sure their environment is clean and safe. When staying as a guest for a house sit, I will leave your house clean or cleaner than it was, I prioritize that.

About: I just recently graduated from Texas A&M and moved back to San Antonio to carry out a gap year before starting physical therapy school. I am currently working part time at a physical therapy clinic and would love to spend my free time with some cute fur babies! I am very flexible and happy to do what makes you and your dogs happy and comfortable! I am very active and would love to take your dogs on walks or to the dog park. But also love to be a couch potato and cuddle up with pups too. I'm currently working part time and will have lots of time to play and take care of your pets! I go on walks regularly and would love to add a companion to my walks. I have a fenced in yard and two other dogs, a shih tzu and a shepherd mix. I am good at taking direction and am happy to do anything to make your pup feel safe with me.
