About: Hi, I'm Kate! I've been an avid lover of all animals since before I can remember, educated on their biology and care requirements early on, thanks to my science teacher mother and engineer-slash-part-time-dog-trainer father. I've had just about every non-exotic pet throughout my life, totaling: 5 cats, 4 dogs, 3 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, and a chameleon! I believe that every animal, just like our fellow man, deserves love, respect, and effort towards their happiness. Especially those we choose to make part of our families! I currently volunteer at the Richmond SPCA, and have previously volunteered at 4-H and other non-profits, private farms, and various organizations. I started pet-sitting at age 9 for my neighbors' dogs, and in the 22 years since then I've continuously begged(/insisted haha) that my friends, family, and coworkers come to me if they ever need animal care. I only JUST discovered Rover after a friend whose dog I regularly pet-sit told me I'd be an amazing professional sitter-- if I'd known I could make this a career without needing a whole business, I would've done so long ago! I have a large, fenced-in backyard and sizeable (two-story, 1970 sq ft) house, fully accessible to your pet. While I currently only have one rabbit myself (she can be free roaming or hutched, per your preference) I do have a litter box for kitty needs and pee pads for any puppies still potty-training. I also have several dog and cat toys, large and small beds, two 120oz water fountains, and freeze-dried chicken treats (used sparingly, or to your preference). I also have several heights of shelf risers for food bowls, to aid your pet's spinal health.

About: I grew up with pets and was in charge of caring for them at home. Treating them as family and bonding with them is important. I’m a stay at home wife and want to keep busy. I love animals and spending time with them. I enjoy going on walks throughout the day. We have a spacious living room for playing and a pull out couch for cuddles. We have a back enclosed patio for outdoor enjoyment and bird watching. Our apartment complex has a dog park for the zoomies.
