About: As the title describes, was an elementary teacher and worked in the education field for over a decade. Unfortunately a chronic illness took away my ability to speak, but I still love getting out and about! I carry a whistle and my phone on me at all times to ensure the safety of the pet I am taking care of. I am currently a stay-at-home husband, so am available a lot of the time to help others! My mutism means I can't speak anymore, but I do understand pets! I have 2 dogs and a bird of my own. I treat every furry friend as a family member, because that's what they are! About: I grew up in a household housing pets all the time. I’ve had the opportunity to care for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, ducks, and a rabbit. I am familiar with animal’s nutrition and exercise needs. I’ve been able to carefully asses small injuries that can be treated at home and which ones require a visit to the vet. I’ve learned to pick up on the different personalities that each pet has and used it to ensure that each one is loved and in a happy environment. I’ve always been around pets, and I have a dog of my own named Khyzer (who is a very good boy!!). I also spend time researching how to properly feed and take care of different dogs based on their breed, size, age, and weight to gain more awareness. I have a big and beautiful backyard for dogs to roam around and play! :D I never leave pets (including my own pets) unsupervised outside in my backyard (backyard only!! front yard has no fencing so it is dangerous).
