“Melissa has been a lifesaver. She comes over multiple times a week, and takes great care of my dog. Winston warmed up to her very quickly on their first meeting, and on the days when Melissa takes him out for walks, he's always happy and sleeping when I get home from work.”
2. Julie D.
“I can, without any hesitation, highly recommend Julie Dixon as a responsible and loving pet caregiver. Julie and I have shared over 30 years of loving, rescuing, and caring for all animals. She is a truly invaluable member of the Animal Protection League. Her personal pets are some of the most charming, beautifully kept, healthy, happy, well-trained animals anyone could ask for. Her love of animals is evident in nearly everything she does and is an important part of her life. Any pet owner would be blessed to find such a fine caregiver and compassionate and loving person as is Julile. She is truly a gift.”
3. Margo N.
About: I am the dog mom to 2 dogs (a pug, a Pomeranian/Chihuahua) and cat mom to 2 lovable cats (Siamese). I am a responsible sitter who will take great care of and love your pets because I understand how much you love them. You will be able to depend on me to take care of their needs and also give them the playful attention that they deserve. I pet sit to supplement my income from my full-time job, as I feel pet sitting is a fun and rewarding way to earn additional income. I have had a childhood dog while I was growing up, and have been a pet owner throughout my adulthood. I've been boarding dogs and doing home visits through Rover for 5 years now. I currently work from home the majority of the time so I will usually be home for the most part during boardings. I am able to fit home visits into my schedule mornings and evenings. I am home most of the time during boardings to watch your pets. I have a spacious yard for exercise and animals are allowed to make themselves at home on furniture, etc.
4. Stephanie M.
About: Hey there, I'm Steph. It is my pleasure to spend time with any animal. I know how stressful it can be to spend time away from your pet(s), so I hope to assure you they will be in good hands with me. Any questions, please ask! Little bit of background - I was unfortunate enough to be totally knocked on my butt in March 2020 when the pandemic was starting. In my regrouping, I got into working primarily gigs and primarily on the road, basically living out of my Jeep (RIP). I wound up traveling to every state (not Hawaii) and 6 of Canada's provinces, transporting bands, gear, and most of all, animals. I am very confident in my skills as a caregiver to animals. Looking forward to meeting & greeting w your pets. For folks looking for establishing regular care, we can discuss modified rates. For my regulars (even if it's just a few times a year), I go to Costco 2-3×/month, happy to pick up whatever a client might need - this includes pharmacy. But for example, packs of 8tx of Frontline Plus for cats and any size dog are on sale for $60 this month (October 2024). I let you know about any potentially pertinent sales I spot and their price, and I'll pick up whatever if you leave me a note & cost+$5 in cash or Venmo up front. But like, if you're low on dog food or dumplings or eggs or whatever, I'm happy to pick that kinda stuff up too as long as I'm given appropriate notice. ✌️ Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I am a writer so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I'm happy to travel up to a couple hours away for shorter term sits. Most established regulars are in Muscatine, but willing to travel up to 15ish miles away. Just ask and I can see what we can set up. I love getting to know how to greet a pet, because it tells me everything I need to know about how they're doing. If I notice any off or new behaviors, I'll take note. I usually check in at the end of my visit, unless I have a question or concern. Love having little photo shoots at some point so I can send pictures and a solid summary of your pet's time w me.

8. Shannon S.
About: I have worked with animals at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where we house dogs, cats, and even birds, bunnies, or hamsters. I worked there for two years, and I have grown up with & been around both dogs and cats my whole life. I am currently working full time M-F, however, after 5 every night I am available for any necessary pet-care as well as on the weekends. I can provide treats, toys, and love to a client’s fur baby. I’m able to take dogs on walks and potty breaks, feed and administer medicine to both dogs and cats, crate a dog if needed, or snuggle up with a client’s fur baby.
9. Samantha G.
“Samantha and her husband would walk my dog most evenings for me. I am an older retired woman so it is harder for me to get around. They are a very sweet young couple. I would highly recommend her walking service.”
