About: Hello! Some of you may recognize me, as I used to be a rover sitter in the past, and am now returning. My former clients will get a discount so just message me and we can modify the booking. I believe I offer some of the most affordable rates in the area, and am happy to do so because this is not a job for me. I find joy in caring for dogs and am always excited to get to meet new ones. More about me: I volunteer at a local animal shelter, and have owned dogs my entire life. I love animals, but I especially have a passion for dogs. I’ve been boarding dogs for several years and have experience with dogs off all shapes/sizes/and temperaments. My responsibilities as a volunteer include: walking shelter dogs, maintaining sanitation in the kennels, and bathing/grooming dogs that are newly surrendered. Those who know me, would describe me as a dog dad because of how much I talk about my dogs and post them on social media. I treat my dog as if it were my own child, with love, affection, and as much time as I can offer them. I believe dogs prefer their freedom and comfort, so I do not crate my dogs, and I allow them on furniture and to sleep in bed. I treat dogs that I board the same as I would my own dog, and would allow them their freedom without a crate, unless the owner specifically requests me to do so. I believe I stand out from other sitters because I have a lot of free time to pay attention to a particular dogs needs, and enjoy an active lifestyle so I enjoy taking dogs out for walks. I also understand that dogs are apart of our family, so to make my clients feel more at ease I will send frequent updates and photos of their loved one(s). I have a lot of free time that I dedicate to my dogs and to the dogs I board. On days that I am available, I have no obligations to prevent me from being attentive to the dog(s). The dogs I board would never be left alone for prolonged periods of time. I would allow my/their dogs frequent bathroom breaks, and would ensure they're getting adequate attention. I have a fenced in yard, as well as camera surveillance in a safe and secure home. When I let dogs out in my backyard, I still monitor them to ensure their safety. I live in a safe neighborhood where wildlife is not much of a concern. I always walk dogs on leash, and am cautious with them around other dogs. I will not introduce another dog to a dog I'm watching unless I am told by their owner that they’re comfortable around other dogs. I have experience in law enforcement, so safety is important to me.
19. Steven H.
“I regularly refer to Steve as a Disney Princess since he naturally gets along and wins over every animal I have seen him encounter. He intrinsically knows how to care for animals of different temperaments and it is apparent that he loves all the animals he cares for. From the shyest kitty to the most rambunctious puppy, he knows how to deal with it all.”
20. Sophie H.
“Sophie was awesome walking our three—THREE!—dogs, who easily outweigh her. I was so relieved to have a real dog person to take them while we were gone.”
