2. Yijie W.
“Yijie was amazing!!! I adopted a very elderly dog who isn’t great with the toilet and needed to see the vet regularly, and Yijie was so accomodating and understanding! Definitely need to hire her”
3. Gabrielle & Patrick C.
“Gabrielle was great with my dog Bruna. Bruna is epileptic and I was a bit nervous leaving her with someone on Rover—very glad I found her! She made sure that Bruna was well-entertained and cared for, all while staying on top of her medicine schedule. Gabrielle provided end of day summaries which I really appreciated. Would book with her again!”
4. Sam G.
“Our 83-lb ogre-of-a-dog "Tonka" warmed up to Sam quite quickly at our meet & greet. We also met "Snowy", her dog, who was a ham himself! We were happy to find Sam as our regular Rover dogsitter moved out of SF. During our dog's stay, Sam kept us updated on our dog's activities. It looked like he enjoyed having a backyard, and of course, their walks! Snowy and Tonka were nap buddies in no time, too. We cannot wait for another "play date" with Snowy. Thank you, Sam!”
5. Jamie Y.
“Jamie is an amazing pet sitter. I messaged her last minute and she was incredibly accommodating. Not only did she keep me up to date and send me lots of pictures, I could tell that she loved and took care of my boy just the same I would.”
6. Derek & Solip "Stella" T.
“Stella and Derek were so great! My dog absolutely loved their dog Lucy and She came home so happy and tired from all the playing and walks. The regular updates were greatly appreciated and I look forward to booking Stella and Derek again!”
7. Jocelyn C.
“Lilly was so well cared for and was super chills dnca when I picked her up, which is incredible as an anxious dog. I got updates throughout the evening and felt like she was in good hands.”
8. Liubov M.
“Liubov is great with taking care of my dog, who is pretty anxious in new spaces with new people. She does a wonderful job of making my dog feel calm and comfortable. Liubov also sends me regular updates of photos and videos of my dog and is so communicative of how my dog is doing overall. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a sitter for their pet!”
9. Kevin & Kayla K.
“Kevin & Kayla were absolutely fantastic taking our kitty for a couple nights! We did an initial meet & greet over the phone to lay out instructions and expectations. As this was our first time boarding, they both were great communicators about how our cat was doing over the weekend. They were very patient with her, allowing her to get use to the new space, but still tried to constantly play/engage with her. We feel very lucky to have found Kevin and Kayla, and highly recommend them for your pet needs!”
10. Cristina & Christopher V.
“Cristina and Christopher were great! Very communicative and friendly, sending periodic updates and photos. Bonnie had a great time staying with them for the weekend. We’d happily work with them again!”
11. Brandon J.
“Brandon is amazing!! So kind and attentive. Easy to communicate with - esp RE: drop off / pickup. We got daily updates on how our dog was doing, and I felt totally reassured she was in great hands while we were away. Will absolutely continue to book with him in the future!”
12. Niriha & Siddharth K.
“Niri and Sid were wonderful sitters for our dog, Belle! They were kind enough to watch her on short notice and took her for long walks and even puppy playdates while we were away. She got to play lots of tug (her favorite!) and was even allowed to sleep on the furniture, just like at home. Niri and Sid sent lots of photo and video updates and were very easy to work with. We'd highly recommend them for all your dog sitting needs! Thanks, Niri and Sid!”
13. St. John B.
“Loki had a great time with St John and his dog. I received photo updates everyday and I could tell he was having a great time and was well taken care of. Will use his services again in the future!”

18. Justin A.
“Justin took such good care of Aspen and provided rapid responses as well as general updates daily and flexibility. I was very pleased with my first rover experience, given I was anxious initially. I would happily go to Justin again to watch my 10 yo pup. Thanks again!!”
19. Bruce P.
“Bruce has cared for our energetic 2yr old Shepard/pit mix for two of our vacations, and during both stays she's had a wonderful time playing with the other dogs Bruce cares for and has clearly loved being there. He's incredibly easy to communicate with and very accommodating of our schedules and last minute changes to plans (responding immediately to any of our requests/messages), and it's been a huge relief to find someone who is consistently available. He's also clearly very experienced with dogs and we feel confident that he knows how to make sure dogs will get along in his care, and provides a safe and well managed environment for them. (We did a meet and greet before Luna stayed with him, and he sends great pictures of all the dogs neatly sitting together, and having fun playing in the yard). We are so glad that we've found Bruce and highly recommend him for sitting and boarding.”
20. Lynn S.
“Lynn has been a great find for us and our poodles. She keeps us updated with regular pictures, showing us how much fun they’re having, which is really reassuring. She clearly cares about our pets, making sure they get plenty of playtime in her yard. It’s nice to know they’re in good hands with Lynn. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for reliable pet care.”

What makes San Francisco a great city for dog owners?
Whether you call it SF, The City by the Bay, or just San Francisco, there's something about this city that dog owners love to call home. With all of the amazing parks and ocean views, it's no wonder so many pet parents enjoy living here, and there are plenty of loving Rover dog sitters in the city who'd love to spend some time with their pups. When visitors are in town, San Francisco dog owners love showing off landmarks like Alcatraz and Lombard Street or popping down to Pier 39 for some trendy eats.
Which San Francisco parks should I visit with my dog?
Looking for a place to blow off some steam with your pup? San Francisco has some truly incredible dog parks. Bernal Heights Dog Park is a scenic 35-acre, off-leash dog park that provides amazing panoramic views of the city. Fort Funston Dog Park is a fun place to visit, but keep in mind it's also frequented by horseback riders, gliders, and bicyclists. This next park is notable for being a resting place for hundreds of species of migrating birds, which is reason enough to visit! It's Pine Lake Dog Park, and it's also full of great hiking trails and a dedicated off-leash section of the park for your dog. Located in the Diamond Heights neighborhood, Glen Canyon Dog Park is 35 acres of beautiful wooded trails and canyons. For the ultimate in dog-friendly recreation, be sure to check out Duboce Dog Park. Dog walkers love this park, and there's even an annual DogFest held there to celebrate man's best friend.
Which neighborhoods in San Francisco are good for dog owners?
Alamo Square features Victorian architecture, including the iconic painted ladies homes seen in many depictions of the city. Balboa Park, sometimes referred to as Mission Terrace, Cayuga, or Ingleside, includes the soccer-specific Boxer Stadium. In Eureka Valley, there's The Castro, where you'll find rich cultural history in Harvey Milk Plaza, and slightly up the hill, the Pink Triangle Park on 17th Street at Market. Established in 1848, San Francisco's Chinatown draws more tourists each year than the Golden Gate Bridge. Ready to catch a show? Check out the Fillmore Auditorium, or wake up early and browse the year-round farmers market with your pup at Fillmore Center Plaza. There's plenty to see and do in Fisherman's Wharf, including visit the Cannery Shopping Center, Ghirardelli Square, and Ripley's Believe It or Not museum. You can catch great views and hike plenty of hills in the parks around Golden Gate Heights. There are over 2,500 stairs and 14 blocks of steps in the neighborhood! Plus, see the famous The Red Victorian hotel in Haight-Ashbury, and the annual Haight-Ashbury Street Fair in June.
