Home full-time:) read bio please:)Bellaire, Houston, TX

I provide pet sitting full-time and am home pretty much all day long :) I would have a very 'happy go lucky' about me, but as I have gotten busier, I will keep it to my requirements & rules, i tried to make it fun though :) MUST READ :

REQUIREMENTS/RULES:

1. Drop off/ pick up times: closed saturdays; M-F 8a-8p; Sun 10a-8p; BY APPT SCHEDULED TIME ONLY [STRICTLY & ABSOLUTELY!!!] (detailed info on this at very bottom)

1a. Holidays: Closed to drop off and pick ups on the 3 following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Day. All other holiday rated days (thanksgiving week, memorial day, labor day, etc. are hours of 10a - 8p)

2. Ring doorbell at the door closest to garage - it can take up to 5 minutes for me to answer

3. Your dog must be friendly with others!!! No aggression no exception. Will not be allowed back if breaks this rule

4. No intact males - No females in heat

5. PROOF OF SHOT RECORDS & HW & FLEA MEDS *REQUIRED* for the safety of everyone :)

6. Half day charge applied for drop offs before noon with a pick up after 3p

7. Meet & Greet required - exceptions made for out-of-town peeps & special circumstances of course. Meet & greets are for me to make sure your dog is friendly with others. You can use this time of course to ask any questions, concerns, or thoughts you have for me. Must be scheduled & occur at my location.

8. Not Allowed: non folding crates, raw dog food, food bowls, rawhide, or toys & treats your dog is possessive over

9. toys, treats, beds/blankets are allowed to be brought but be aware, treats will be shared sometimes :) toys WILL be destroyed. Beds have a 10% chance of being ruined. So no fancy beds please, I don't want it to get ruined :D

10. If your dog has food/treat allergies, they must be written on a note as well as told to me via rover/text before hand . I do not want to get your dog sick

11. MEDICINE INFO MUST BE GIVEN ON TYPED NOTE, BOTTLES LABELED! all forms except injection medication is allowed

12. BRING YOUR DOGS FOOD. Food for the stay must be brought in a large ziploc bag or tupperware smaller than 12"x 12" cubby space - NO WHOLE 30LB BAGS OR ROLL CONTAINERS EXCEPT FOR STAYS OVER 7 DAYS - my pantry isn't that big ;D

13. I generally do this alone. Therefore, if I am uncomfortable with a dogs size or tendencies, I will not have your dog back. This is not meant to be "breed racism" as it might sometimes seem (say a pitbull, mastiff, or german shepherd), but for the safety & comfortableness of myself & the other dogs.

14. So for the "not so generally part" above, I sometimes have one of my friends help me. This is very rare though. I attend comic cons occasionally. My friend Kaylee will watch the dogs during this time. This way i can always be "open" & not have to close down/not accept dogs. I will close down if the trip is longer than 2 nights though typically. During these times my friend will watch them, I try to only have repeat clients. If you are not comfortable with this TELL ME beforehand so I can let you know if it will be me here or not. (Kaylee has been helping me since i started)

15. EMERGENCY/SECONDARY/LOCAL CONTACT REQUIRED - this is in case of emergencies (examples: natural disaster [HURRICANES], extreme aggression, sudden illness or medical complications). This is for the .0001% chance I need your dog to be picked up. I need someone that you trust that is local that can pick up your dog in an extreme emergency, or to answer medical veterinary choices for you if i cannot get a hold of you. Typically, if your dog shows aggression though, I can tell before anything happens & will keep it separate from the others until your scheduled pick ups.

16. Do not call me unless there is an emergency. I typically never answer my phone. Text/messaging/email highly preferred.

17. I do not take any of the dogs on walks. strictly backyard playtime only (my yard alone is half an acre, secured, & double or triple gated)

18. New rule: no friends or other family that is staying in town is allowed to visit a dog while it is being boarded. This is highly stressful to the dog as they think they will be going home, has high liability risk, & interrupts the regular schedule of the doggos.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT MY PLACE & WHAT I DO:

1. I watch mostly all repeat clients now. Your dog will most likely be the only or 2nd new dog during the time he/she is here. My repeats love to meet new dogs & are so friendly! We all can't wait to meet you, new pup!

2. I have my yard sectioned into 4 areas: 1) rock area, for when its rainy, all other areas closed. 2) NW corner: always open when nice outside. 3) NE corner. Calm large/med dogs only that don't want to play with the hyper ones in area 1 & 2 are allowed on it when nice outside. 4) small doggo section! this is where my 2 dogs hang out. Used strictly for smol puppies & dogs 15lb & under :D honestly its typically empty as i don't have too many small dogs i watch haha!

3. I have typically 6-8 dogs here at all times. Weekends reach 10-12. Holidays being the highest - holidays are repeats only or 1 new calm doggo and everyone has a dog party with me!!! WOOHOO!

4. I keep everyone separate if I leave the house. exception for veteran repeats.

5. I CLOSE DROP OFFS & PICK UPS ON MAJOR HOLIDAYS (Specifically only Christmas Eve, Day & Thanksgiving Day) - im here, you will just have to pick up or drop off your dog the day after or before.

6. I do NOT require crate training :)

7. i DO require crating or sectioning in a play pen IF your dog has repetitive accidents or is 'annoying' other dogs (aka humping or excessive play biting to an older dog, etc; it is very important of dogs to have a quiet/down time each day, so this is for your dogs health as well as the others)

8. I do keep the dogs separate from my living spaces. Basically, my house had 1300 sq ft of tiled rooms added onto it. All of my living space is kept in the wooden section original house. The dogs i keep in the addition-ed portion. It is about the size of another house though, & looks like & is part of the original house, & its ran on the same AC! one room has its own giant window AC unit though & is separate from the main HVAC. sooo this means your dogs won't be even near any furniture, my bed, or kitchen, so no worries about your pupper eating human scraps or getting into trash or tearing up any furniture :) sorry, no dogs are allowed to sleep in bed with me.

9. I usually only send pics of your dog playing outside. Most of the time i spend with your dog is outside playing. I occasionally play with them inside, but usually your dog will be tired & just sleep when were inside lol. Some of the more hyper dogs use this inside time to play with each other & the toys. I'm inside with them, but not actively attending to them inside 247. I usually will be just watching tv nearby on the couch listening to them play or snore.

10. I usually don't have any issues with the dogs. However IF your dog has an issue, it will have to be picked up by a local emergency/secondary contact

11. I am autistic. So sometimes i might seem stand-off ish, this isn't on purpose i just am unaware that i am lol :)

12. I have been operating at this 'level' of dog business for 4 years now. 5 total. 16 total years caring for animals of my own.

13. I have almost completely free & clear availability, but I strictly stick to scheduled appointments only as I have daily tasks to do, whether its occasionally go out or have an errand , taking a shower, taking a nap, or just eating a meal on my couch. :)

14. I am able to care for special needs dogs, such as those that are deaf, blind, need a leg brace/head cone, or requiring daily topical or by-mouth medication. As stated before, I cannot perform injections

15. Your pup(s) will be able to sleep wherever they like in the 4 designated rooms I have for dogs to stay in. I put out a few doggie blankets out and some toys. They get washed weekly

16. My yard & home are flea & pest treated every other month. Please note, most all worms take 3-4 weeks to appear in your dog. I have had 2 cases (out of 900 dogs over the years :) ) where someone has accused my place of giving their dog worms when they were only here a few days. I do now require a negative fecal in the shot records . And As stated before , heartworm, flea/tick, shot records are required also

17. I operate a crate-free environment. However, I have a bunch of crates if your dog prefers to have one. I also have some large, topless play-pens so that your dog can have their own large space, yet not feel enclosed in a bedroom or crate if preferred. Otherwise your pup will have free roam of the room. ( A lot of small single & duo dogs LOVE the play pen option - feel free to bring your whole setup of blankets beds toys food bowls & everything & it can be like your dogs own little suite! Check before to make sure I have a playpen space open)

18. I have 2 dogs myself; they stay in my living space away from the others most of the time and will have little to no interaction with your dog, except in the backyard on the small dog side of the yard.

19. I also offer daycare & bathing, & taxi pickup /drop off from your home within 5 miles.

20. I am insured by KennelPro from Mourer Foster aside from the the Rover Plus protection package. I have a city of Houston live/work permit.

Things I would like to know about your dog:

a) Does your dog have separation anxiety? Storm anxiety? Any other anxiety?

b) Is your dog allergic to anything?

c) Has your dog ever shown signs of aggression?

d) Is your dog housebroken or crate-trained?

e) Has your dog been away from you before?

f) How/where does your dog normally sleep at night?

g) Does your dog have any digging, other bad habits, etc.?

Please message me with any questions! Again, I am home mostly all of the day, as this is my full time job. I strictly stick to appointments though. Last minute changes may not be able to be accommodated, please be aware.

Anything else you would want to tell me I would love to hear!

BACK TO THE APPOINTMENT TIME INFO: I cannot exaggerate how important the appointment times are. Changes can be made of course, I am very willing to be flexible, but are not guaranteed unless confirmed by me by close the night before. Day of changes (aka traffic, running late or early, emergencies) can almost always be accommodated but must be confirmed by me. If you show up at a different time , unconfirmed, I cannot guarantee that I will answer. If you arrive after close, a day must be added to the stay.

This does not mean I am not home if I don't answer. I am a normal person that is working 247 (alone) without a day off. I could very likely be taking a long shower, in a competitive video game match, test fitting a costume, doing yard work in the back yard. it could be very random! :) anyway, this isn't really meant for the people that are 15-20 mins off the scheduled time. thats an easy "hey ill be xx mins early/late" text :)

This is meant for the people that will show up hours before or after with no word or contact. or ask to come at a different time, but receive no confirmation from me & show up anyway. It is very disrespectful .

Uncle Bruce's Dog BoardingWestbury, Houston, TX

I am a dog lover who watches several neighbors' dogs, some in their homes and some in my home - usually when they are out of town or when they are remodeling their homes etc.. Many of these families have known me for 35 - 40 years. They can all provide references for me. ( Some have known me since I was a young teenager and now I'm an old 60 year old !! )

My motto is that "We Take The Boredom Out Of Boarding". I usually walk each dog several times and play with them throughout the day until they are tired. Never a dull moment.

I am not bragging - but some of these "references" will tell you that when they bring their dog to me, it jumps out of the car and runs to my front door happily and that when they used to take them to a regular kennel, their dogs would not be happy ( like many dogs act when they go to the vet. ).

I have several bedrooms (5) and during the periods I'm out jogging or gone to the grocery store, I like to separate the dogs usually in kennel/crates or each in a bedroom etc.. It is for their safety. The good thing is, the bedrooms have old carpet that needs replaced, so if any dogs have an accident or chew - it will not hurt the flooring ! No matter how good all of our dogs are, there is always one troublemaker in the crowd, that's why I separate them. Better safe than sorry.

The day usually starts with breakfast (half of their day's feeding) and a walk around 8:00 a.m. - another walk around 1:00 p.m. - another walk around 4:30 p.m. - dinner at 6:00 p.m. (the rest of their daily feeding) and another walk at 7:00 p.m. - and a short outing before bed around 11:00 p.m.

Paws Over Texas ~ Vet TechDeer Park, TX

Hello Everyone!

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Kelly and I am what people call "a true animal lover"!!! I am a Mom of 3 crazy, but loving, wonderful kiddos and a HUGE pet family, from dogs to cats, to an iguana and a turtle! I love my crazy, vibrant long hair and you never know what color (I have greys to cover these days! Haha!) that I have and I love my tattoos and always looking to add another piece to myself to help tell my story! They make me who I am, working on getting Kelly 100% again, and fun colored hair, tattoos, dogs, dogs, and dogs are what will be the medicine to bringing the Kelly everyone knows and loves back!!! So here I go....

As a child growing up I was not allowed to have a dog :(

I did have a gerbil that had babies one time and I did bring home a turtle from the ditch by the golf course another time, and we had a few outside cats that just weren't people cats.

Dogs and farm animals, horses in particular, have always been my passion and I have been one of the lucky ones to be able to pursue a career in the animal industry. I started working in the veterinary field when I was only 15 years old! I worked at Bay Area Animal Hospital for a veterinarian named Dr. Schulte (RIP sir) and held onto that job for a year, before I had to give that up because in high school I was very much involved in FFA and raised steers my junior and senior years so a job became to much with the added duties.

Back to that statement I said above, "I was not allowed to have a dog when I was growing up", I know so sad right?!?! Well I can remember as a "tween" walking over to a neighbors house one day and seeing my very first Siberian Husky with those crystal blue eyes! It was love at first site and I knew I wanted this sweet, happy boy to be a friend of mine so I offered my neighbors a whopping 50 cents to walk their dog around the block everyday they needed. I offered to pay them!! They laughed and allowed me to walk him when needed, let me keep my 50 cents and in return my friends, sister, and I were allowed to swim in their pool and most importantly more time to "doggie sit" with the husky that also swam!

I have been very fortunate to continue my career in the animal industry throughout my life with 18 years of working in the veterinary field, to now being a full time pet sitter/business owner. Those little lessons in life ya know, how I use to try and pay a neighbor to walk their dog because I LOVED him so much, to now I have a "Pet Sitting Family" that uses and TRUSTS me to watch their pet families? I help them and they help me, with any and all pet like situations. I do boarding, daily visits, medical cases, geriatric pets, rescue, and yes puppies and kittens, I help and provide for them ALL in anyway I can, that is who I am and this is what I am passionate and love to do!!! They call me and my business the ~ Home of the traveling "Veterinary Technician"! I am who I am, and I LOVE what I DO!!! Dog spelled backwards is ~GOD~ :)

****HOME ALL DAY ****

We want to say a special thank you to all our clients and furry friends for making this a great experience for us, this is our 7th year with Rover. We enjoy and love all that come into our home, and you all have a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to building relationships with each and every one of you.

My self proclaimed " gold badge" is that my new found friend Jim, AKA, Pa-Pa's Puppy Haven, entrusted his boy Sam and new addition, Susanna to me...again. Jim is the number 1 host in the Nation, I was very honored for this experience, you can read his latest review on my page and see sweet Sam and Susanna's pics, he is the beautiful lab and Suzanna is the Labradoodle. Jim passed away in October this year, I still can’t believe it, it was an honor to call him my friend.

Myself and my husband Angelo have been foster parents to so many rescues and enjoy all that come into our home.

You may encounter some of our short term emergency rescues we foster in our support to various Houston Rescue Group's that pull from high kill shelters. These rescues, move on to their forever homes with the socialization help of our own dogs and our wonderful guests that stay, we all contribute to saving these lost souls.

Your dog will have trips the secure doggie park on Bay Area to socialize and have fun with other dogs, there are also nice green walks in the area

We LOVE seniors, I am experienced with deaf and blind dogs. I also have a dog that requires insulin shots, so shots are no problem, he is now totally blind. I have senior guests that require multiple medications during their visits, that is something we can discuss during our meet and greet.

We treat all visitors as if they were our own. Prior to their stay, we do require that all pups have their flea meds, monthly heart worm treatment and are up-to-date on shots. I would like to get to know your dogs likes and dislikes, quirks, fear of storms, separation anxiety and anything else that would be important to know prior to their stay. All dogs are given the same attention as our own dogs. Our goal is to have you enjoy your free time with no worries or concerns and to know that your baby is being loved and cared for while you are gone. I will be sending you daily picture updates and videos so that you can see how much fun your fur ball is having.

All dogs are kept inside in the ac, they have access to a paddle pool to cool off on these hot Texas days. Dogs get 2 walks per day as well as visits to the dog park, all dogs get filtered water. A Meet n Greet is required prior to booking, its essential to us that you will be happy to leave your dog with us and more importantly, your dog is happy in our home, again, I'll update you throughout your dog's stay with pictures and videos.

I have completed 200 hours grooming training in Masters Grooming Academy and received my Certificate in Grooming and Pet Hygiene.

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile.

Spacious, loving dog getawayPASADENA, TX

My husband and I have 4 dogs, all pugs and one-two foster pugs, depending on their adoption status. We have worked with a local rescue (Pughearts) for several years and I have volunteered at our local animal shelter. I also used to work for the Houston Humane Society. I love dogs, and we have a kennel free attitude (they can also get on the furniture), but we do have kennels available (I do kennel if I leave the house at all for their safety). We have a 1/2 acre and lots of comfy spots to rest. I am a teacher, so I am off all summer but do work through the month of May & return mid August. I can still pet sit, because my mom, who lives on our property, is available to let the pups out for potty breaks and play with them until I get home. I'm also available on most weekends. Also, I am first-aid trained. I look forward to taking great care of your fur baby!

Hi! Thank you for visiting! My name is Erin. Animal care is a calling, especially with dogs! In my 20 plus years of experience caring for animals, one of the biggest stressors I’ve seen on the dog-human relationship is stress on the pup.

Stress on your doggie companion equals stress for you, and stress sucks! We relieve the stress that can come from having to work long hours, go out of town, or even in the case of an emergency by providing wonder-filled stimulation, training support, and of course lots of cuddles in a safe environment. We play, run, and romp in and out of a house with a large fenced in yard, all while fully supervised and engaged, and of course there are lots of cuddles! We can also stay with your pup at her/his own home base, with or without overnight stays, providing a presence in your house while you’re away.

Whether at our home base or yours, we contribute to helping you nuture the bond between you and your dog simply by relieving you and your pup of stress and providing fantastic care. Happy puppies, happy people!
